I think every car enthusiast should own a 10 second car at least time in their life. I could kill just about anything I ever raced... but such power could only be used on freeway's. Got pretty one dimenisional, and such a heavy car was hardly fun on the twisty's.
The C63 was a blast to drive, sure not as fast but fast enough and handled oh so nice compared to the Charger.
Owning a 700rwhp beast was fun, but it was time to move on with added perspective.

Now a 392 with a centri type, ala Procharger would look much more linear and "traditional".

Does the car come from factory like this? Or was it the result of your personal mods?
Impressive numbers by the way

I know where your coming from on the blower vs. CID. Conventional wisdom says go with a bigger blower for a large CID engine. But your forgetting one thing, perhaps I didn't want more power then what this combo produces without spinning the blower past its efficiency point? Perhaps I was happy with just getting 8psi of boost, and didn't want to go into 15psi range.
This blower maxes out at around 12/13psi on a 392 and I managed to get 10psi out of it on my 426 and I was happy with that amount of power. Lots of folks of the Mopar forums ran this combo, it's a tried and true formula, and I knew going into it what kind of power I would be putting down. The Magnuson wasn't pushed past its efficiency, and still the combo managed to put down the hp/tq numbers you see on the dyno chart.
If I wanted to go to 800+rwhp, sure a KB 4.0L would of been a better fit, but 700rwhp was down right scary on the streets, and this CID/Blower was perfect for my goals. A 10 second street car.

426 swapped + blower...nice... is the engine straight coming out from Mopar?

Congrats on an awesome build. Your charger looks top notch and tastefully modded.
You are right that everyone should own a 10 sec car.
Not so easy to do with the current breed of MBs.
I am wondering one thing though. Why is your speed a little low?
Our cars (which are not the lightest either) trap in the high 120s with mid 11s.
I trapped 120 and still in the 12s with my bone stock CLS. I hope to be in the low 11s with high 120s with low 600s to the wheels. I would think you would be in the 130s with being in the 10s and 100whp more.
Post pics of your new MB beast too Welcome to the club.

Usually a faster ET will be partnered with a lower trap speed if its a true drag race set-up with a great 60ft.
What were your 60fts ?
EDIT: That pass was in mid summer, around +2000DA. If I did that run in October at Atco or ETown in negative DA. Trap may have gone up 2mph or so, and probably would of cut a 10.7x due to the more dense air.

I had a 10.3 @ 143MPH (NOS) second 83 Mercury Capri drag car in the late 90's. I daily a 2.8 Lincoln LS during the week and my C63 on the weekends and I have to say, I Love the power of the AMG. Hoping to build it up over the winter with a Stage 1 supercharger :-)

I stroked out and supercharged, etc... and I just LOVE this 6.2L c63 "as is". Again, IMHO.

Sharp Charger for sure. Interested to see your thoughts on the C63 after a few months of ownership.
I agree with the thought of enthusiasts owning a monster at one point in their lives. I've had quite a bit of seat time behind 600-700rwhp cars and the experience is indescribable.
Just curious...did you have any belt slip issues with that setup? Looks like a 6 rib setup from here.

No belt slip issue resulting in lost power. The belt wrapped very tight around the blower pulley. I did however have belt "walk" issues where the belt would would forward on the idler pulleys resulting in one of the ribs getting sheared off from walking up the side of the PS pump pulley.
To be honest, while the having a 10 second, 700 rwhp beat was fun and all, it ultimately ended up being more problems then anything. There was always something going on which drove me to ultimetely getting rid of the car and getting into something I dearly love STOCK, the C63 AMG.

1/2 or 3/4 throttle was always scary as you never knew when the blower was going to kick in and go full on WOT.
I was once in traffic, just trying to pass a driver and got on the gas in a gradual and smooth manner. About half way through, the car dashed into a full on WOT sprint. Scary as hell with that much power in traffice when you weren't intending for it.
Again, not sure about the blowers for the c63, but I'm guessing the lightswitch effect is there as well.
It completely took the predictability out of driving that thing... which resulted in mis-trust and overall a "this wasn't worth it" experience.
Sure I could beat 99.99% of the cars the road in a straight line, but you have to ask when is it time to just enjoy a great driving machine vs. a drag racing beast.
