Squeaky Breaks - Pad Options

Same as my old C300, the breaks on my C63 squeak and it get's very annoying. That's why I have never been a fan of ceramic pads.

With the C300 I changed to Akebono pads and this issue went away. What would you recommend for the AMG?

Installed some Porterfield R4-S rear pads last week and are running very quiet! Though it softens the brake pedal a tad bit, these things stop! They're labeled as "racing" brakes, but are rated for street use as well. They're supposedly low brake dust as well.

I heard other people use the EBC Red Stuff as well. But no background in those pads.

It's kinda hard to tell because rear brakes in general don't generate a whole lot of brake dust. But it seems to be a bit less than oem pads. Maybe someone with the front pads installed can chime in, as the front generate a bit of brake dust during normal use.

I can vouch for the R4S pads
I got them on the P30 at 17,000 miles.
I'm at 69,500 and my second set of pads yet I still have the original rotors. I can attribute that to the pads being so gentle on the rotors yet it stops great. About 50% less dust too

RacingBrake has semi-metallic ET series brake pad to go with our light weight two piece rotors for C63, which has excellent stopping power with very low dust and is guaranteed of no squeaking.

We are tooling up the same ET compound for SL550 2013 where dusting is the top issue.
