TORONTO/CANADA - 2014 507 Coupe

Hey guys... I am looking to purchase a brand new 2014 Mercedes C63 507 Coupe package with the following options.

Ext Colour- 197 Obsidian Black
Int. Colour X87 - Prcelain/Black AMG

MSRP Options
-C63C - C63 AMG Coupe
-MFS - Edition 507
-MAP - Advanced Driving Assistance Package
-MET - Metallic Paint
-X87 - designo Porcelain / Black Two Tone Nappa
-GLT - Green Levy Tax

Total MSRP is $81 090.00, OTR price is $94 740.10

Anyone buy one and if so would you mind sharing how much off MSRP? Or possibly the dealer/salesman?

Would it be realistic to expect 5-6% off MSRP??

Thanks guys. So excited!

They're charging you 14k over MSRP OTR (on the road, right?)? That does not sound right! I don't have one, but I've seen people getting them for under MSRP, no where near 95k.

13% tax will do that.

Unfortunately we are not as "fortunate" compared to Amercians when we compare US vs Canada pricing lol.

Do what your heart desires. It's your car/your money in the end. But if it were me, I would pay nowhere near that for a 507. 95K is CLS63 territory if you add a couple thousand.

I think it was @anthonymckay who almost got completely overcharged on a 507 and it had the same options, maybe more, and he was only being asked 87k and that was a terrible deal.

EDIT: nvm CLS63 is super overpriced in Canada too.. Just get a C63 P31 or something and spend the rest on mods!

EDIT 2: Or a new E63 for about the same as that 507.

A loaded CLS63 without ceramic brakes in Canada is about 130K + tax which is about 150K. So no 95K is no where near that price.

Come on guys. I'm asking for advice to nego on this car. I was given the price of a C63 P31 2013. About 86K OTR incl a 9.25% off MSRP.

Assume I get 3-4K off the 507, the price would be about the same so I might as well spend the extra money and buy a car that's a little more unique.

It's the taxes that's killer. E63 starts at 103k here, and CLS63 113k. Both those are nowhere near his prices, especially after tax.

I don't think anyone is discounting the 507's, at least not this early. If there are any left in March or April, that's when the discounts would start. With those numbers, I'd take the 2013 and save $8k. It's pretty much the same car as the 507 minus the BS hood.

Oh wow. My dad wouldn't tell me numbers but no wonder he's having a hell of a time finding a GL63 at a price he likes.

Can't wait to see what happens when he plans on selling his CL600 and buying an SLS as well. Will probably have to buy it used.

You're essentially paying almost $10k for a vented hood... Other than that, it's basically the exact same as a 2013 P31 C63. P31 is underrated as far as the hp that it advertises (487bhp) for marketing reasons. In reality it's likely just north of 500bhp as well. It has the exact same SLS forged internals as the 507 edition as well as the Black Series, and likely a very similar ECU tune from AMG.

It seems like a more "unique" car on paper, but it's really not other than the hood and a few small things in the interior (gear shift knob and steering wheel material). You would be better off to just buy a 2013 P31 at a REALLY good price, and then slap on a 507 edition OEM hood, or a third party replica. You most likely have a lot more wiggle room on the 2013's and should be able to get them a bit more below $86k. Dealers want to get the 2013's off their showroom floors.

I assume that 80k is before tax? There is no way the MSRP was $85k and you paid $80k out the door (ie, with tax, fees, etc)...

No, out the door, total. AFTER tax.

I've had this discussion already and don't feel I need to prove it. Don't care what you guys want to bring up.

I had a special incident and I'm a loyal customer. Had 5 new C classes (C300, C300, C350, C63, C63) in 4 1/2 years. I had a huge debacle with trying to order one in the first place. I had a deposit down in FEBRUARY!!! Before they were even build-able, when it was first announced. Dealer had issues and screwed up badly, 3 times.

I am not suggesting that this is a deal anyone can get. It was very special circumstances.

Jordanaf, you definitely got a good deal but lets be real not too many people buy 5 Benzes in 4 1/2 years from the same dealership, you have been a good source of income for them so naturally they just did not make as much on this car but chances are you will come back, right. Also in Canada we get bent over with the HST @ 13%, what is it in Texas 4.5% and with limited dealerships way up north here they make you pay?

That is what I have said, it's not a deal that anyone can just get and finagle. Yes, I got a great deal. My fault for posting the price here. It was in bad taste. I was and want to encourage the OP to push for a 507. I am no the person that has been bragging here or posting the greatness of me, my car, or the deal I got. It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't make me "better". And yes the dealership made no money on THIS deal. I believe it was right at $800 that they were claiming profit.

The tax is right at 6.25%, a little higher than 4.5%, in Texas for new vehicle sales.

OP: it doesn't matter if people say it's approaching CLS "status". What matters is what vehicle you like! People buy vehicles all the time for prices that "other" vehicles cost. Go with your gut, pull the trigger if you can financially take it.....................

PM sent. There is absolutely no need to pay MSRP in Canada. Since I am working on MBs, I have some connections at MB

Post corrected for all spoiled US folks as most people in Canada are actually paying MSRP on new MBs or very close to it...

I just ordered my 507 , in Richmond BC, got $600 discount and that's it, but my trade in price for my car is higher than blackbook so, I guess i got more discount, I didn't have the ADA package but i have the special color MAGNO Platium so my total before tax before discount is $86509.

I gave my dealer a 2008 335 convertible with 29000 miles, and ~$58000 cash. I bought it out of state so I gave my home state ~$2900 for taxes (5%); although I could have spay painted Farm Use on the side and saved on the taxes and license.
