Thumbs up Joined the C63 club! Lets get down to business

Gents,

First off, I'm the proud owner of my new (to me) 2010 C63. I have had her since this past Saturday, and I fall in love with the car every time I hear that beastly grunt!

I look forward to sharing my experience with the community and hopefully document my entire build process.

Coming from the BMW community, the entire tuning scene is different for MB. Which is great! I enjoy tuning different vehicles. The character of the car truly shines in the aftermarket for me!

So down to business - New Wheels.

I was considering sourcing a set of 4 front SLS AMG 19's (the 10 spoke forged wheels) they look absolutely stunning, and are lightweight forged wheels! If any of you can chime in and let me know if these would work for our c63's please let me know.

Second option is sourcing a set of Black Series multi spokes, they are very similar in design to the SLS AMG wheels, but im unsure if they are forged.

As for Suspension goes - I have ordered a set of KW's already. Should be here in another week or so.

Appreciate your feedback and its great to be part of MBworlds forums now!

Kris

Congrats and welcome to the club Kriston, I am relatively new as well.
I have had my C63 for about 2 months now and have also just begun modding.
I have purchased the smoked replacements for the side marker lights, K&N Filters, and just yesterday I placed my order for the Eurocharged Tune.
Happy Modding!!!

^^ LOL, I'm no wheel pros but can tell u first hand ur 2 choices won't fit (well, at least not w/o fenders modifications). The SLS & BS wheels are too wide for our cars, unless u find reps with different width & offset.

Our OEM wheels are 18x8 +45 & 18x9 +54 , same in 19's.

So the ideal size in 19's would be 19x8.5 (+ 38 to +45) & 19x9.5 (+48 to +52).

U could also do 19x9 (+40 to +45) & 19x10 (+50 to +55).

With 245/35/19 f & 265/30/19 r or 275/30/19 r.. U should be safe from rubbing with ur KW's.

The SLS rears will not fit, they are too wide and have back spacing that would make them stick out on your car....unless you do a widebody conversion.

All Black Series Wheels are forged dating back to the 2008 CLK.

FYI. As someone else already correctly stated Black Series rears will not fit your car either. Furthermore OEM Black Series wheels will cost you as much or more than aftermarket wheels anyhow. Most guys with Black Series will not part with their stock ones due to the collectibility of Black Series in the future. I run aftermarket wheesl on all my Black Series but have all my stock wheels in storage and don't plan to part with them.

Just reach out to Klassen or HRE and get exactly what you want. I have owned just about every brand of wheels out there and the quality of the Klassens are second to none and their customer service is out of this world, I will not run anything but Klassen now.

Thank you, but SLS BS is rather boring and slow in it's current state compared to my other two BS monsters however it's being shipped out to Wiestec this week for the whole Weistec SLS treatment. The new wheels will be installed when it arrives out at Weistec. Wheels are SICK, brand new design wait until you guys see them.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome fellas!

The color of the car is Iridium Silver on Black Leather. This car is a keeper for me, so I was looking specifically for this color combo. To me its a timeless combo.

I have been reading about the tunes as I do know its a great way to get a few extra ponies out of the car. However, I may end up super charging her before long. I have already been looking at the Weistec / Kleeman options.

I was looking at Weistec S/C's last night...let's say I was tempted but not right now...Are you thinking stage 1,2,3? If I was going to do it I think Stage 1-2 would be fine for DD...Stage 3 seems like a bit too much for me..800hp+ you can't ever use on the streets fully

Nice to see another GTA member! Congrats! Ill love the 10spoke look too but with limited options I went with forgestar CF10s. The look great but they are a brutal company to deal with. Better off going with Klassen, HRE or ADV when it comes to wheels! I wont make the same mistake I made again. haha .... I also love the new Vorsteiner flowforms (look awesome at a great price!)

Stage 2 from Weistec. Same price as stage 1. I really don't think I want to go more then that for a 90% dedicated street vehicle. Even then its a lot, but its been a dream of mine for some time now. Its time to make it happen.

SLS Wheels. After some research, the Front SLS AMG wheels (Multispokes) are 19 x 9.5 with a 60 Offset. If I am able to source a set of 4 of these, It may work for a nice square setup. The offset seems like it may work to accommodate the extra .5 inch width.

For the rears I don't see why these wont work? Correct me if im wrong here.

There are very few aftermarket manufacturers of wheels that I personally like. HRE / BBS / Rays / Work / Advan. I prefer to stick with companies that have some solid history. Not saying the new comers are bad, I just rather stick to these.

Due to high offset on our cars, I feel a wheel design without a lip is best suited for the c63. Example - HRE P40! such a gorgeous wheel, its on my short list if I ditch the SLS Wheel hunt!

Not looking at 20's, looking for a nice light weight 19 or even a nice 18 if I can find the right set. More rotational mass is a big no no. Rather keep it light

Lol .. Love the look of 20's trust me, too bad our cars needs rubber band tires to run 20's. Too dangerous for our Canadian roads.

OP , I doubt the 19x9.5 +60 will work on the front of our cars. U would need spacers to avoid touching the inner suspension.. But by doing so, u will have major rubbing on the fender cuz they will stick out.

I'm late to the party ... too busy at work today.
First welcome to the club!
I doubt the sls or BS wheels will fit too unless you want to go with a wide bodykit. Your choices are limited if you are looking for multispokes look:

- OEM 19' but IMO you would need spacers to make them flush.
- Forgestar CF10 but expect long delay to get them unless this color combo suits you -> https://mbworld.org/forums/5805272-post32.html
- Rennen M10
- HRE P43SC
- Klassen M10 but i prefer the M52R (different design)

There might be other models but these are the ones i would recommend.

Yeah those are all VERY tough wheel fitments.

Let me know if I can help you out with any aftermarket wheel options!
