I currently have a 2013 C250. Thought it was ok till I drove a friend's C63. Wow.....

Anyway, I'm trying to keep my budget around 45k and for sure want a CPO car.

Based on my budget, I know I'm looking at 2008-2010.

Are there any differences between those model years?

And when did they update the dash the way it looks in my 2013? I have the radio molded into the dash and my blinker stalk is up on top and mounted further out.

I haven't been able to find a resource online to sift any of this info out between the model years.

Not many major differences between 08-11, except that I think only 10-11 had the power pack option available. This included a better factory tune, stronger engine internals, 2 piece brake rotors, an LSD, and an increased top speed limiter (200mph). Easy way to tell is by the brakes, the ones with the PP had red brakes if Im not mistaken.

I'm almost positive the interior was updated along with the body style in 2012.

I just went through the purchase process and got an 09 for $41k, it was low miles but modded, just a point of reference.

If I missed anything or anything is wrong please let me know!

Good info. Thanks. The powerpack option seems to be pretty rare. I found one but it's a private party sale and I won't own a car with a 30k engine without a warranty.

I found a nice white 09 but it has a reddish wood trim that I don't care for. Has anyone ever swapped that? It may not even be possible.

Are there any "must have" options or things to stay away from. I have a car that I race so this is going to be a daily driver/grocery getter.

Interior wood or carbon fiber kits are common and easy to change out. Would not let that deter you. Definitely find a cpo car even if you pay a tad more.

It does look like they got facelifted in 2012 judging by the pics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, all things being equal, the better deals are 08's if it's going to be the same thing as the 11?

Yea, if you aren't looking for one with the PP. I found a relatively low mileage 09 and had a fidelity warranty included at the dealership. For a cost of course, but well worth it for the peace of mind.

The only differences I think were side view mirrors, PP, and steering wheel. Maybe the console/COMAND controls are slightly different but the menus should be the same. Nothing major.

The 2012 facelifted models are going to be out of my budget. It's a big jump even from 11 to 12.

I found a very good deal on a local CPO 09. Full leather, Nav, HK stereo, and a couple other things like sunroof etc that seem to be standard on all of them despite being listed as an option. It does have 60k miles but it's CPO'd and I do average miles a year.

Are there any changes on the 2010 or 2011 from 2008 to 2009? Any options that became available, any must haves?

I'm having a hard time justifying paying more if the 2007-2011 is essentially the same car, the only difference being mileage.

Thoughts?

That's a pretty good deal, but unfortunately I have that pesky 2013 C250 to deal with so I'm looking to do a trade in. The dealer I bought it from will pretty much give me all my money back if I buy a CPO'd C63 from them so I'm committed to a transaction through that dealer for obvious reasons.

Would anyone be scared of CPO C63 with 60k miles?

Mileage is a little high, but it's white. I prefer the white as it's a little more understated and since my current car is white, no one will probably tell the difference if I take the badges off Older white CPO C63 sedans are like unicorns filled with skittles. Tough to find.

I thought white was one of the most common colors on the C63 (new or old).

Nope. Black. At least in the current market. The white are almost impossible to find. There's 20 blacks for every white online. At least in the CPO directory. I'd say silver is number 2.

As long as you have the Cpo, I wouldn't worry about the 60k miles.

for around $45k, i'd honestly try to bump it up another $5k and buy BAD430BENZ's car without any hesitation.

super low miles and really nice, expensive upgrades. probably no warranty through mercedes though due to all the stuff he's done to it, but definitely the best deal around IMO.

See the board sticky on head bolt/gasket failure. This may push you into a 2011.
