i've looked around for trim replacement DIY's to see if there are any ways I can remove the plastic pieces around the AC knobs but havent had any luck. I'd like to add felt, but am hoping silicon spray along the seams will do the trick. any recommendations? this is the facelift w204 interior.
thanks!

The squeaks in this car are annoying as fûck. I've slowly been taking panels apart and lining the mating surfaces with a single layer of hockey tape.

hahahaha true that... im about to get mine X piped.... but the thing is exhaust systems dont have a secondary cat... and installing one (ex: agency power) doesnt void warranty (only exhaust warranty). i dont get why it might void our warranty going this way. :S

I'm just not used to mb, bmw on the other hand could care less about what I had on my 335i! Fully carless, tuned, intakes and they took it in like it was a stock car ahha!

^ This DIY is for pre-FL interior but the method is similar for the trim piece around the AC knob on FL cars. GL

My guess is that piece around the AC vents is hold by clips too.
Basically you have to remove the vents in order to access the multimedia unit, rear shade button etc... So i think it needs to be pried.

As i mentioned you need pry tool. Trim piece and vents are 1 piece

Got some bad news about the AC plastic cover, Unlike the pre-FL we have to remove the trim at the top, to loosen the head unit, pull it out a bit, then get to the two screws holding the AC controls in place.

I ended up pretty much using the second one from the left for pretty much everything.
