C63 street race tires !!!
Hi guys
After few days I will install weistec supercharged it will be stage 2 add to that bolt-ons so now I'm looking for real sticky tires can handle this mount of power. I've seen many tires but I have to replace my rimes, I don't want to replace them. Any idea about street race tires can fit on OEM rimes. I want to use them on a drag and street races. Here a list:
1-Hoosier R6 (Not sure but I thing for Track)
2-Toyo R888
3-Nitto NT01
4-Advan AD08
5-Bridgestone Potenzo RE-11
6-Hankook RS3
7-Nitto NT-555R
8-Bridgestone Potenzo RE-11
9-Re11
10-........
if you have any brand not listed share us pleas

The softer the better.
Hooisers will destroy your quarter panels and throw rocks at everyone behind you. You will die if you hit rain or wet roads.
RE11s are good, thats what I run sometimes, but mostly I just run some ****ty all seasons, they are going to get burnt off anyways.

I heard the Toyo R888 are pretty good. They're drag-able and street-able. If you're using the car for the streets as well, Michelin Pilot Super Sports seems to be the choice of tires here. However, I'm not sure how they will hold up to a S2 supercharger. I'm sure others will chime in.

M/T ET Street Radial II would be my choice for stock rims, stock size is not available but 245/40R18 or 265/40R18 will work.
In the end you'd be better off with a 17" rim and 275/40R17 in the original M/T ET Street Radial design.

I love the RE11, but they don't last very long. my current set has about 6000 miles and they are pretty worn. I'm gonna try the Michelin pss next.

dont even bother with the nittos. they dont hook for crap, specially with that kind of power or weight. I just killed off a set in less that 2k miles and they didnt even hook at all, but they were pretty cheap.

The Toyo R888 come in the right sizes for the OEM 18" rims. There is another (current) thread where another member was using them as a DD tire.

Here:

FWIW, a 285/35/18 R-comp as someone else suggested will neither fit your OEM 9" wide rim nor clear the fender. They tend to run wide and have very square shoulders.

Now that I checked, as far as I can tell the R888 doesn't even come in that size (there is a 285/30ZR18 though). Not to say he isn't running a 285 tire on the rear, but again a competition 285 tire on the OEM 9" rear rim is IMHO far from ideal even if it fits without rubbing. On a 10" rim, yes, but on the 9" you'd get too much sidewall flex during high lateral loads.

PSS all day long...
Best tire I've ever run.
All possible aspects considered.
Don't even think about it, just get them.
Even got $ back on my shredded rears with their 15,000 mile warranty (in the US)
