Had a run with a V8 Supercharged M3
Unfortunately no video
Specs on cars:
My car with headers + tune dyno'd 420rwhp 11.7 @ 121mph
M3 VF engineering 620hp kit, makes about 520-530rwhp possibly more ??
Had 2 runs, both were from about 80km/h
first run i just got the hit first and pulled a bit in front about half car or more then he started to come back as speeds increased and went past 160km/h
second run he got the hit and i was behind by about a car and he was pulling.
I was surprised to do so well against him considering i had a extra passenger and how much power he makes. I thought i would of got beat a lot worst.
Any one else raced a supercharged v8 m3?

No, but I've had a run in with a CTS-V before. Didn't do too hot. Anything that has forced-induction is a force to be reckoned with.
I'm surprised it was so close in the first run. Usually with BMWs, their power comes in at the higher rpms and that's when they start to pull...hard.
Good run nevertheless!

No runs against super charged M# but i regularly smash my partner's plain old M3 convertible - she is a good sport about it though! They have a big torque hole under 5000rpm that is just no ggod for daily driving in suburbia

Our old car put down 450 rwhp. With that being said, she was about even with an ESS 585 M3. Anything more powerful than that walks the C63. The 650 ESS DCT M3 runs an 11.2 @127 so in theory should blow a highly tuned C63 away. In conclusion the C63 is epic considering the 585 blower alone costs around 10k.

Seems like you held your own quite well. It really is difficult to compare the two cars though.
Idea -- supercharge your v8 and race again. Results may vary from that haha
Mod for mod the c63 will be faster in a straight line.

Don't get me wrong, it's for sure faster then I am. I was just surprised at how well I did against it. The owner of the m3 was a cool guy too. I think he was a little surprised though.

The M3 does indeed pull hard up top in the RPM range. The longer the race, the more chance he would have to pull on you.
That being said, A blown C63 vs a blown M3 is a whole new ball game. Many people forget the potential our engines have with a supercharger.
Coming from the BMW world, many owners went the Supercharger route. In comparison I would say for every 1 SC C63, there are 2-3 Supercharged M3's.

You are right, I am simply stating that a Blown C63, is a monster. Weistec Stage 2 and your laughing at 90% of the cars on the road today. That including a Stage 3 M3.
The torque the C63 puts down is unmatched. When super charged, the car can shift gravitational force

It's just unfortunate that the rear track is insufficient from the factory...and requires modifications for anything larger than 275 tires.

Perhaps the M3 was a 6mt and the driver shifted slowly?
I'm sure your C63 is making a ton more torque, though once that blown S65 gets in the higher revs under WOT that won't matter as much
If the M3 was running/driven right the result doesn't make sense IMHO

raced another m3, this time a manual with a supercharger not sure from who but it had some sort of front mount located in the bottom air dam. i was behind him at a track event, he hit it first, had to back off several times before i hit him. had a run side by side and just pulled to easy.
I have video on my go pro just need to upload it.

Congrats. Sounds like you held your own quite well.
My mate has an M3, and we have ran many a time against my ML. We are always neck & neck, until about 130kph, then he starts walking me, and just keeps pulling.
His car has Eurocharged Tune. My ML has OE Tune. I posted vid before of some of our races.

Your ml does weigh more and is 4wd! And yeah i did better then expected. Surprised both owners. I wonder if the dct car was faster because it is dct. The manual lost it's pace every time it changed gears. And I held momentum which allowed me
To keep pulling.

I raced ess 650 kits that made over 600rw .on 1/4 mile from a dig it's a close race but from a roll I never beat them.
my car last made about 480rw and has a good 400 lbs weight reduction from stock form.

Hi there,
Are you supercharged? Or just bolt ons + Tune and Weight reduction?
If just tuned and Bolt ons - You have one quick car!

That's amazing, think about it, an ESS 650 M3 is no slouch. For you to keep up or even beat him with bolt ons is a great testament to the C63 capabilities.
Well done buddy!

That m3 dynoed 611rw there was another m3 there that day a 625 kit and all 3 of us were with in .1 to .2 tenths apart and I was .1 faster thru out the whole day.
Now my other friend has a 4 door ess650 with few other goodies and he easily walked me from 40-140 2-3 cars
