Looking to purchase a used 2011 C63
Hey joe, I was reading through this thread and came across this post. I'm looking into purchasing a used 2011 C63 how ever I was wondering if you could run the VIN # on it and see if it's one of the affected ones with the head bolt issue.
The VIN is WDDGF7HB8BF632794
Thanks for your time and help Joe!!

Hello,
As many of you know, I have been providing Datacard info to many members interested in their build sheet, or to verify engine serial number.
I received a PM from a member today who indicates he has a "late 2010 C63". The Datacard for the VIN he provided shows a delivery date of 11/24/2010. The Datacard indicates the engine number is over 4,000 engines beyond where the new head bolts were employed.
Since we've believed that all 2010 and older, and some 2011s were in the affected range, I'm confused about how this one could be outside the range. I did a search to find out which digit in the VIN corresponds to the model year, but had no luck getting a clear answer.
Anyone have any thoughts on all of this?
Thanks,
Joe

You gave my C63 a clean bill of health (thanks for that). How about the ML63 ? 4JGBB7HB4BA659001

A couple weeks ago my coolant warning came on for the first time, the car was parked outside for several days in below freezing temps and my driveway has a pretty steep slope. took it by the dealer and they toped it off....a couple hundred miles since the top off and were good.

Yeah, I'am doing the same, however i am not 100% sure ill do the job myself if it comes up. seems like a very very small percentage of motors with the issue.
