02 CLK 55 AMG,09 C63 loaded with P30
At the end of the day its still a corvette, problem is everyone has one.I go on my local cars and coffee meets and you see 100 cars show up and 30 of them are corvettes and they come in revving there motors 10 at a time. Theres one SL65 me and one SLS.
I love the fit and finish of Benz thats why i own one.The corvette looks cool but i guess I'm getting old now at 40 it looks like a kids car to me i just can't wrap myself around it and see myself driving it.It looks like a car i would have loved when i was 28.

Now just imagine what the next zr1 will be.....
also guys lets not forget the all new jaguar f type coupe r. the 550 horsepower coupe is just the beginning....jaguar is circulating now that next year there will be an f type coupe RS....600+ horsepower, carbon brakes, lower weight, faster transmission...wider meaner body, wider tires, etc... then jaguar said an f type coupe RS GT will make even that look slow.....and that even faster versions beyond the f coupe RS GT are possible.....

Initially, I hated the new style. Call me a tradionalist. I prefer round tail lights & I hate the rear lower black fascia. It has since grown on me. Pictures don't do this car any justice. In the flesh, it's the shiznit!
To all the nay sayers busting the Corvette's ***** for being a Chevy, or its made out of plastic, or it's an old man's car, or it will fall apart, blah, blah, blah...
If you are a true car enthusiast, then I dare you to go out and test drive either a C6 Z06 or a C6 ZR1. I used to be a P-Car fan boy (owned many 911s), but when the C6 Z06 came out in 2006/2007, I test drove one and quickly realized that for this country, the Corvette is king, where low end torque rules (considering the silly speed limits in the USA).
My former C6 Z06s & my current C6 ZR1 can go up against any car (your choice), and not only will it put a grin on your face, it will garner respect and attention from all car enthusiasts. Additionaly, it will make most supercars sweat! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
At the end of the day, I'm a car nut, not a particular fan boy to any make, so all you purported car nuts out there, don't diss the Corvette. Considering all of the cars I've owned, the C6 is right there on top, when I compare it to all of the BMWs, P-Cars, MBs, Audis, et al, that I've owned in the past.

The visual design of the C7 is a love it or hate it thing if you watch people talk about it. It will be interesting to see what changes they make to it over time. They changed the Camaro's tail lights, my guess is to stop the "looks like Camaro tail lamps" comments on the C7 rear. The design is very different, the car stands out - very flashy.
I have owned an '08 C6 convertible since it was new. The car is a kick to drive. The ownership experience is not good. Unless something changed Chevy treats you like you bought the cheapest piece of junk on the lot if you have the need for service. I doubt anything has changed. You see all kinds of craziness with "fair market price" stickers on the cars at dealerships, etc.
I'd give the C6 corvette ownership experience a 7/10
-1 for ****ty workmanship/engineering. Things like plastic parts that shouldn't be plastic (like the glovebox door lock), the stupid gigantic twist latch on the convertible top, no key fob sensor in the trunk of the 'vert, terrible battery terminal connections, etc. This stuff is so painfully obvious with the car. The '02 BMW M3 Cab that I replaced with the C6 didn't have these issues.
-1 Poor quality electronics/stereo/entertainment. The AC Delco/Bose stuff is garbage for the money
-1 for crappy ownership experience at dealerships around service and sales people antics on talking about/ordering a C7.

Lol, if Knight Rider were to be remade today, they would use this. Looks good, and specs as stated rock; visual queues are highly aggressive for a street car though, especially for a DD - weekend and track is more like it for most use cases IMO.

exactly....yeah with a good ecu tune and some basic bolt on upgrades...do you guys think it could be up over 800 or 850 hp with 850+ lb/ft of torque? because bone stock off the showroom floor you guys will have a car that will produce somewhere up over 625 horsepower and 635 torque from even the basic 91 octane gas.....a pulley and tune with some upgraded headers and exhaust system tuned for 93 octane gas like we have here in the southeast and God knows how much power this thing will get for you guys....just cant even imagine what the ZR1 will produce.

My C7 Stingray will be here shortly and the Z06 will replace it in a couple of years. The Z06 lapped GM's test facility faster than the ZR1 and it is still under development and not done yet. Even GM was surprised. I bet this car will be a 7:05 'Ring car.
Faster than 99.5% of cars out there for likely $90 - 100K isn't too bad
As far as the interior goes, build quality is way up and from all reports now on par with European cars... owners who have had both also suggest this. I'll make my own conclusion relative to my C63 when I get the car shortly but I'm not particularly worried.
I'm just excited to have a track car again that I can drive every day
