Smashed lower front grill
Driving back from the inlaws this eve, down from the coast back to London, heavy rain and wind on the motorway so not driving quick (80 mph ish) as the girls were asleep in the car.
Large hard rubber tile or something square blew up in front of me smashing the grill and bumper and smashed number plate completely lost to lower front plastic mesh piece all bar the edges and cracked the lower bumper.
Now need new centre piece and I suppose remove the bumper etc

That sucks, especially when its not your fault. Does insurance over there work the same way as in the states?

Will you be claiming insurance or is it not that bad or worth it? If you do claim will it be a comprehensive claim or will they ding you with a collision claim? Because the vehicle was in motion I think they might ding us (New Brunswick,Canada) with a collision claim which will affect rates or free claim allowance. Along with deductible that may make the claim a losing proposition.

I was on the M2 just before Xmas, heard an almighty CRACK! and a dimple in the windscreen appeared just off the bottom on the passenger side. Didn't come all the way through, but the damage looked (from inside) like someone had stuck the bottom of a coke bottle to the screen.
Guessing it was a lorry wheel nut or similar - had the same thing with the wife's car, but that punched a 30mm diameter hole through the front spoiler - left some grease around the hole.
Luckily no damage to bonnet (given how low it hit, I was expecting it).
£300 So either a DIY job, or my not so local (Liverpool) indy said he will do it when he does my service as part of that ( mate so hence the 300 mile journey ) but make sense as saving about £300 on the service and hopefully getting bumper back to its proper self again.
Thanks for the advice guys
