Installed the ROW boxes...
I will run the part numbers and see if I can find anything of interest.

I also covered the bottom halfs with heat shield tape. I have no proof there is any real gains, but my OCD nature tells me it certainly can't hurt. Shielding the airbox is something I have done on previous projects, and with the design of the AMG intake, it made sense.

I dropped in some AFE Pro 5R filters as well. I thought I had ordered the dry version, but I got sent the oiled. The amount of oil in the cotton is very light, and I do not anticipate any MAF issues. I have used K&N in the past without problems, but I don't know how sensitive MB MAFs are just yet. I went on a 5-10 mile drive after, and no lights.
I can't say there is much of a sound difference, but there did seem to be a bump is torque and throttle response.
Several of my co workers have C63s, but for some reason mine seems to run the quietest.

I'm about to install some Afe Pro Dry S filters...I know that I need to make sure the filters are seated properly, but any tips to make sure the filters are seated properly other than driving it after and waiting for a code to pop up haha?
I got a few PMs on the tape I used for the shielding. I used a single roll (with plenty left over) of DEI Reflect-A-Gold.
You will want to wash the lower with a degreaser, and then wipe down the area you plan to cover with alcohol. Cut the strips to length, and apply.
The part numbers have been posted in several threads (that is where I got them), but here they are again (off my invoice).
156-094-03-06
156-094-04-06
The lower part is identical.

You’ll have to uninstall it and look if there is a charcoal filter and if the funnel is rounded or not. If it’s rounded it’s ROW.
