Hey guys, Noticed a little noise from the pulleys. Sounds like power steering pump. Felt a little stiff once in a parking lot hardly moving but my car is lowered on H&R cool overs and on 3pc SV1 19" wheels. Anybody have a pump problem in the past? My car has 107000km so maybe fluid change and belt change is due. I seem to hear the same noise in a lot of YouTube vids. All comments welcome here. Will do some diagnostics but any experience is appreciated. Thanks

Word of advice, if your changing your power steering pump, change the reservoir at the same time (have to remove reservoir anyway to get to power steering pump)

Reservoir has a filter built into it, that gets clogged over time.

Reservoir is only $40 from Mercedes.

Good to know thanks... Just got wonderful news that the previous owner had purchased a 5 yr 200,000km bumper to bumper warranty on the car and I'm transferring it today. WINNING!

ZC63 if you still have the original serpentine belt on the car you may want to change it out for a new belt before jumping into a steering pump. A glazed belt along with the cold weather and snow blowing around could be some of the issue you are experiencing.
Also so you might want to check the idler plastic pulleys when you have the belt off, if the spin easily and for a while when using your finger it may be time for some preventative maintenance. I replaced both cars with Wiestec billet aluminum pulley
set. 5 pulleys for 299.
The original plastic design when the bearings get old and worn they overheat and seize, melt the plastic and destroy the serpentine belt which leaves your car with no power steering and a red battery sign on the dash, don't ask LOL.
All I can say is that steering a 4000lb+ AMG when this happens is next to impossible, do not try this.
