headers

I can buy a set of logstyle headers c/w cats (20 cpsi) that replaces the stock exhaust manifolds and 1st and 2nd cats. Diameter is also bigger than stock.

Can anybody tell me what to expect with the performance and loudness?

thanks!!

Log style and cats isn't worth the time and money to do. That's almost the same as what stock is. Get long tubes, cat less, 60+hp easy.

X2, I think cats wouldn't hinder it much though, if you wanted/needed them imo.

So the log-style headers don't make a lot of difference?
It all comes from a car with a Weistec sc so I thought if it works on that engine then it maybe works on mine.
Then I better save my money for a set of longtubes!
thanks for the info guys!

logs are only really useful for turbo'd cars where longtube headers wont fit with turbos in the way

for n/a and S/c cars get LTH or dont waste your money

And if you was plumbed into a turbo, I can't see short headers being much better than the stock manifolds.
