QUAIFE DIFFS Limited Slip Question

Hey guys, I have finally found my next C63. It's an 507 Edition with minimal options so the MSRP is $81k. Only problem is the car doesn't have Limited Slip, so I need to find a shop in the MD/DC/VA area that can do the job. Any recommendations?

Welcome and good luck with your new toy.
I think euro charged has a shop in va dc area and they are very well known and have a great reputation on here and other forums.

Thanks for the information. Just got off the phone and their installed price is $1000 less than the factory option. Go figure!

I am looking into one as well. The majority of the options from "factory" are far inferior to aftermarket companies. I only have the multimedia package.

OP-
Get in touch with Benz Elite Automotive. They are based in NoVA area and I've taken my car there a few times for some aftermarket work and plan to go there when my headers arrive. Their prices are very reasonable and they do exceptional work.

Ask for Eddie or Emil, they are the owners/partners and both are knowledgeable.

not sure if i'd consider the factory lsd option one of these "inferior" parts.
Factory brembo brakes. Black series coilovers are made by KW. optional Recaro seats. hmmm sounds like a bunch of junk **** "factory" on these cars.

Eddie--mine was installed at At Speed Motorsports in Hanover (ask for Pete)-- closer to the Baltimore/Columbia area. It's a high performance/race car shop so they can handle pretty much anything.

+1

AMG parts are nothing to scoff at. They're levels beyond their non-AMG counterparts.

I didn't know the BS' coilovers are KWs. Good to know!

they arent the same off the shelf KWs you'd buy for your car since the suspension is very different and wouldnt fit, but kw non the less.

back to the topic on hand. The quaife rear diff is probably better for a novice/beginner driver as it is alot more forgiving and not as instant acting, where as the stock lsd is clutch type and very aggressive. If one isn't as experienced the stocker will have you kicking out sideways and spinning much easier.

I second Case's endorsement of At Speed. I just dropped my CLS63 off with Pete for a Quaife LSD install. At Speed is a top notch facility located near BWI airport. They lean heavily toward Porsche, but do a lot of Benz and BMW mods as well. While i was there I checked out frame-off restorations on a Kharman Ghia and a Cobra they were doing - both looked awesome. They have a showroom with several vintage euro cars, my favorite being a guards red original 930 slant nose. It's obvious these guys are into cars. Their pricing is also very competitive. PJ
