track results 09 c63 hms stage 2 tuned
Hi all....went down to Atco in Nj last night and ran consistent 12.4s with one 12.1 and a 12.014 @ 117.89 1.85 60ft.
car is hms stage 2 tuned with the k&n filter mod. On STOCK general tires..... Traction is such a *****. Gonna be picking up a set of M/T streets this week.
I got a question though.....after my last oil change ive only driven the car 2600 miles so far but I noticed that ever since ive done the charcoal removal and K&N install my car has been running alot lower in oil temp. avg. around 195-199 degrees....where before I was always around 205-210....could that be from the filters?? its kinda weird but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this or heard of this before. I only drive the car on weekends unless theres a track night I can go too. thanks

Hm...I didn't know HMS had tunes for our cars. Interesting.
As for the oil temp drop I wouldn't think it was due to the air intakes. I think the oil and oil coolers themselves may have an impact.
I think it may be your engine getting acclimated to the oil. I tend to get cooler oil temps and better fuel economy about 1-2K miles into an oil change.

Nice times for what mods you have.
With better tires you should trap higher and lower your et.
If you get mickety tompsons you will be into 1.7x 60 foot, 1.7 60 foot should get you into the 11's.
Why don't you guys try to make it for the April 5th event at Pocono raceway.

yea I got invited to that event....I met the gentleman with the plasti dipped supercharged E92 m3 at atco a month ago. I for got his name tho unfortunately. Im definitely gonna try and go. probably to spectator tho.... I got some modding to do before I step foot in the ring with the big boys....oh and brakes, suspension and tires lol

Take your car on the track man its about having fun not winning or losing . Just open the car up and hang out with bunch guys and bs.
