I have a lot of touch up paint from the body shop already... Is their paint different (thicker to fill the hole better?) or is that rubbing solution where the magic is?
Can I get the same effect with a light rubbing of paint thinner?

Just 2 rock chips?
My front bumper is full of rock chips... But i know exactly where its from and I have no intention on changing my driving style because of the chance of rock chips. If it gets to the point where its really that bad and noticeable I was told the best thing to do it to just get the whole bumper repainted, for a couple hundred bucks. just my 2 cents.

The Dr. Colorchip paint is different and is designed to "flash" dry quickly when smeared before the solvents etch the clearcoat. The prefast solution will not damage the clearcoat but will dissolve the excess smear if done within an hour before it fully cures.
I would NOT try paint thinner. Yes, you'll save $39 at the risk of having to reprint a panel.
