After A1 Service, My transmission is smoking.
I had an A1 Service performed in December that included an oil change, transmission service, and a brake fluid renewal according to my receipt. I drove the car sparingly for the past 4 months because of winter. I took it out to drive on the highway for about 20 miles and started seeing gray smoke from the rear. Since A1 service, its only been driven 180 miles up to this incident. There is red liquid dripping under the car and the underpan is covered with liquid. I believe its transmission fluid. There were no warning lights on the dash. I had it towed to the Mercedes dealer and am awaiting the status. The car has 30xxx miles and is not driven hard at all. should i be concerned?

having said that, though, I wouldn't lose sleep over it. if they didn't tighten something up properly, they will fix it. if it's something different, like a leaking gasket, then that can be fixed easily as well. of the top of my head, I'd say it wasn't anything serious, but of course I haven't inspected the car.

It looks like you're leaking transmission fluid. Smoke is likely from the trans fluid hitting the hot exhaust. It's probably been dripping since the repair, but once you got out on the highway the drops started blowing around and got onto the hot exhaust.

After the dealer checked out the car, it turns out the "trans cooler line" is leaking. This leaking line over the exhaust caused the car to smoke. To replace this part and fix it is $254. Shouldn't this be covered under warranty???
