I went to look at a 2013 PP with only about 2000km on the clock the other day. It had the exact same splash marks around the coolant expansion tank as in your photo. I reckon loose (? badly designed) caps must be quite a common issue, and probably far more likely a reason for a "low coolant warning" than "bad head bolts"

Those German coolant caps always seem like "nyloc" nuts with prevailing torque to be overcome before seating. Or have I got it wrong? Older Audi's have the same caps. It is hard to detect seating without lots of twisting.
And the oil fill cap goes on easy, but I use a 17mm socket to remove-wimp here?
