Any possibility for a Sunroof cutout?

Either way this thread has gotten interesting, Why I said this was a good race is that these 2 cars are so closely matched in stock form.

While I can understand that numbers and math do play a big role in this equation, there is still intangibles to take into account, IE: Drivers / road conditions / weather etc.

I can tell you from personal experience the M5 is a monster up top (as it was designed to be) the car sounds like an F1 car with FBO's.

Cant deny the marvel of the E60 M5. Last of the big NA engines for BMW.

Nice wanna see that race you going to race the guy that I raced 15 times you will walk him easily 100% last race I did vs him I had 02 sensor issue my friend on this forum told me don't go until you change 02 sensor and MAF Sensor issue and he past me at 150mph and we did roll race 50mph he won't do 0 or 20 mph roll

Could you steer me towards where/who I need to contact regarding getting an OE tune? I'm new to the platform and currently running an EC tune and after dyno/data logging my tuner basically said the tune sucked overall. Looking for alternatives...

Hey bud like i said it should be complete in about 3 weeks so once its on and tested i will post up full details and answer any questions ! The roof is being supplied by a big name carbon fiber company custom made for our cars and will be available for anyone to buy after we confirm fitment. The install will be done by my shop that has done many e46 m3 roof conversions to e4 m3 csl carbon fiber roof. The glass doesnt give much structural support so the car will actually be stiffer with the riveted/glued cf roof. Will give all info soon

Honestly the whole point of a CF roof is to take as much weight off the roof as possible to lower the center of gravity and a sunroof would take away from that. Besides the fact you would need someone to design the glass/motor. This will be a complete roof replacement no sunroof !

Lol your senads buddy? saw the races and it was pretty close for a lightly tune c63 good job !! Is senads buddy have FBO and ALpha-N tune? I know one of my neighbors friends has a alpha-N m5 im going to set up a run as soon as my car is done ! Believe me when my car is ready i will be in mexico I think you know my bro-in law omer !

Is it the vorsteiner CF that dad's c63 did or another company , I remember his was perfect the waves and firment.

I don't want to go off topic, but how does a FBO C63 AMG compare against a C6 Z06 with intake and tune up top? Around 120 or 130mph and above?

Just curious... do they walk the vette up top?

Actually I purchased the car with the EC tune already on the car. I took it to my local dyno/tuner who I've trusted with all of my previous cars. He made 2 pulls, looked at the graph/parameters and he told me it sucked. The a/f line looked like a rollercoaster ride and it's on the rich side... I even gave EC a chance to respond and review the tune. Their response: it looks "okay". I don't know about you, but I think a $1k + tune should damn well be spot-on, not "okay".


Maybe you should stick to what you think you know and not assume

After owning one I can say with 100% certainty the Z06 will put bus lengths on the C63

C6 Z06 will own you. A C6GS 6 speed is a better race but you will still probably lose. They are quick. C5 Z06 you will probably do alright against.

This car made 470 WHP at the same day and the M5 made 490 WHP

The only diffrence at the race between them is that the C63 had one extra passenger

20rw more for the m5 and the C63 was heavier he dint do that bad after all.

Do u think if the passenger wasn't in the car it would of been closer race ?
