Hey fans,
The lease on my current MB is ending within the year and I have been considering getting a 2014 C63 AMG sedan for a while now. Mercedes is currently offering to take my lease back right now if I go with another MB so I could potentially get a W204 C63 now.
The question I have is WOULD YOU RATHER LEASE A CURRENT MODEL 2014 C63 AMG OR WAIT FOR THE NEW W205 4.0L V8 MODEL TO COME OUT AND LEASE THAT INSTEAD???
Or would any of you wait a few more months and go with the new BMW M3 or M4's over any AMG?
BTW I would not get the 507 edition, just a base model C63! And I am only considering leases, not interested in purchasing.
LETS HEAR YOUR OPINIONS!

Go look at a picture of the w205 and then come tell me if you want to walk out to that ugly car every day...half kidding
I am partial to the w204. It looks so much better. And the M156 is a sick motor. And personally I don't think the 507 is worth it (as you seem to already agree with). I would get a w204 any day over a w205 based on looks alone. The M156 is just the icing on the cake...a whooooole lotta icing.

If I were you, I would lease the '14 C63 and wait for W205 to mature a little bit. The 1st year debut models inherently have the most number of issues. Till then, why not enjoy the legendary M156 before the glory ends?

The W204 has legendary character because of the M156 motor.
That said, the W205 will likely be more luxurious, filled with new technology, and faster.

Unfortunately, at the time when the W205 is out there will be no more brand new W204's, otherwise I would definitely follow that advice. My decision can't be based on the driving experience.Originally Posted by zibby43

On a lease it doesn't matter if it is first year or not. If anything, leasing a first year model makes more sense putting liability on MB for issues that pop up. If he was outright buying the car then that would be a different story. Originally Posted by Sidv22

Look at how amazing of a beast the new e63s is. You don't think MB is going to carry that awesome sauce over to the C?
Every purist on here is going to say take a '14 or less for the M156. Put that purist in a w205 and 9/10 will probably really like it, realize the w204 can't hang and move on. I'll be the first to admit that every car I bought lately I have told myself "this is the last one for a while..." 5 cars and 18 months later...
Again, the best thing to do is just wait, drive both, and decide which you like more.

I am not a fan of the W205 sedan exterior at all. It's far too soft and probably will be even in AMG form. Seeing it live at the auto-show, this is the biggest deal breaker for me.
And while I appreciate the W205 interior's quality (which is clearly the best-in-class for the foreseeable future), the iPad NAV screen really bothers me. I prefer the integrated dashboard look.
Nothing else needs to be said about the M156 engine. You either care or you don't - and if you don't you'd expect equivalent next-gen tech upgrades in the W205 such as a true DCT, AWD, electromagnetic damping, electronically-locking LSDs, etc - none of which are hinted will be in favor for the next C63. This is the other deal-breaker for me, but we shall see...
