Popping noise from Girodisc/two piece rotors?
I just had girodisc 2 piece rotors installed by the dealership a couple weeks ago and started to get a popping noise from my left front side when braking softly, wonder if anyone had has this happen or know what could be the the problem?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Popping noise?
You could possible hear a rattle like keys jingling from the 2 piece rotors but with both of my cars I've never experienced even that....
Any video you could take for me?

I would say a clicking sound. But difficult to say where it comes from.
Is it only when applying the brake pedal?

Yep it only happens when applying light to moderate braking. Anything very light or heavy( or heavier) braking and you cant hear it. I wonder what it could be, it only happens on my front left. Only changes to braking system has been the rotors and r4s pads. Installed by dealer

Could be the pads or caliper
Heavy pedal will put more pressure on the pads against the rotors so no real room for moving.
Very light pedal does not produce the sound so it is in between.
I would recheck the pads/calipers/rotors on the left front. Maybe the pads are not properly installed which is weird coming from MB.

Interesting -I ordered the same setup from Tal and when they come Ill install them and see if I hear that noise... but like mentioned by others probably just something loose.
The only thing I ever read was that the e-brake might damage the hat on the Girdiscs -but I dont know how much truth that post carried...

A little off topic, but is there a reasoning behind that key jingling rattle (Almost like a metal clicking) ? Been noticing it after I get out of my car in the garage once the engines off.

I would jack that side of the car up and see if there is movement of the wheel from the wheel bearing, possible when the dealer removed your rotor by hitting with mallet the bearing could have been damaged. IMO Other possibility is rotor disc is loose from the hat.
