Sport Plus on 2008 C63
I am trying to help a neighbor with his new 2008 C63. Since I have a 2014, the transmission settings are obvious. I believe I read on this forum there is a way to engage Sport Plus on 2008 by using the stalk controls, but I can not find the thread. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Nope. S+ is only available on the facelift models. Pre-FL have comfort/sport/manual.

So yes, S+ is a much better mode than S but it's all because of the MCT so S+ on a pre-MCT car doesn't compute.

There is a sport plus on the 08 or it acts just the same. While your in sport mode, pull the paddle to first gear. What this does is essentially the same thing as FL sport plus, which is it keeps it in the gear until redline and shifts to 2nd automatically for you...and so on up through the gears. give it a try. This is what it does for me in my 09 Pre FL

Also, I really don't know why they have S and S+ in the FL models. I never ever drive in S. It's either C to warm up, S+, or M. Since I owned the car the only times I've ever driven in S is when I accidentally don't move it over to S+ (this lasts for about 10 seconds lol, so in two plus years of ownership I don't think I drove for 5 mins in S mode)

I know exactly what you guys are referring to....im just letting the guy know there is a similar way to drive a PF car like a FL car. No your right it's not a S+, but believe me when you in sport mode and pull the shifter down to show 1st gear, it will hold the gear to redline and shift automatically to 2nd for you, and so on through the gears. It's really fun to drive like this as it will hold the gear nice and long for ya. This is usually race mode for me. Sport + shift down to 1st and forget about switching gears and just mash the pedal and hold on

I know what you saying and I don't intend to confuse the OP but I'm just saying there is more than just C, S, and M modes for the Pre FL. Like for example....i wouldn't say drive in that mode around town, but what you can do is put it in Sport mode, shift up to let's say 4th gear and now you can drive normal from 1st to 4th...but when you hit 4th gear it will now hold the gear until red line, which is pretty good city driving. Then when you are arriving on the highway, now you can hit it hard and it will be in 4th to redline and so on up through the gears. What I'm trying to provide for the OP is that there is more to just gear changing and shift points with the pre FL cars. There is always a happy medium with these cars. There are some fun driving points that not a lot guys know about. If his intension is to make a pre FL act like a FL, than that obviously is not gonna happen with a torque converter and an MCT tranny.
