I've never driven a C63 without an LSD, but my KW v3 coilovers were like night and day for handling. Car felt way more planted and firm without being too rough after I installed them.

Driving instruction on a track. The car probably has more potential than most normal people can begin to exploit.

lol +1. Don't think anyone can honestly use the full potential of a stock c63 let alone a modded one if they arn't a professional with tons of experience.

Newb (to the C63 anyway) are their no aftermarket Sways for the C63? With all the other cars I've owned, that's the first thing I look at.

I have no LSD, but have the KW v3 coilovers and the car already handles like a DREAM - I can only imagine after I get my Wavetrac LSD on in August...

As mentioned before, coilovers + aftermarket LSD seem to be the best handling modifications!

"Handling" covers a multitude of sins. If it means "optimize lap time on a challenging track," it could mean creating a car that is uncomfortable and dangerous in the hands of a poorly trained driver. If a car is set up to deliver the ultimate possible, it will be very unforgiving when pushed just past that point. It won't tell you you're getting close -- it will just bite you when you do.

But "handling" can also mean "go where you point it, with maximally fun experience." That might involve doing things that improve its steering response, flatten out it's turns, make it stickier -- all under conditions that we see on real roads, even if these come at the expense of the car's performance under track stress. Road and track are very different environments.

So it's true that we can all improve our driving skills and get more out of the car, that doesn't mean that we can't make improvements that just make it more fun to drive.

I have KW V3 DDC, Quaife LSD, and Weistec carbon fibre driveshaft and the car handles like a charm. Anyone have experience with aftermarket sway bars for the c63? I don't see a lot of members change them? Is it not necessary or the oem AMG sway bars are better than the aftermarket ones? Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen aftermarket sway bars for the C63. The stock ones are already thicker than then other W204 bars and the car doesn't have a lot of roll. My guess is that going thicker would make the ride very harsh and possibly even sacrifice handling. As long as AMG made optimized sway bars for the car, why would they not do it right?

You do see strut bars, which stiffen the chassis. They offer a bit of improvement in handling but are ugly, especially the rear one which blocks trunk storage.

KW Var3 + KCPerformance.eu polyurethane bushings. The bushings make the steering more direct and make your car handle like a cart without being bumpy or bouncy like hard coilovers will.
