C63 507 Sedan brake pads
I went into the dealership to have my pads changed under warranty, and my advisor told me there was a bulletin regarding 507 pads. Apparently new spec of pads, and these new pads will address the squealing/noise the factory pads gave off.
Anyone hear about this bulletin?

Because of the bulletin, MB rescheduled me to come back next week; so they have the time to order, and receive the new brake pads.
Will share what's written up on the service doc.

Interested to hear about this too. I have the 3 piece rotor performance pack upgrade and the squealing is terrible.
I do several high speed brakes and it's gone for half a day before coming back with a vengeance.

I didn't think pads were covered under warranty; even with pre-paid maintaince I thought they were consumables. Is this a US vs Canada difference or am I wrong?
Now if there is a recall they would be replaced at no charge.
I would be tempted to get a fair amount of use before having this recall addressed if it really is for noise and dust.
Does this mean 507s came with different pads (compound) than other C63?

Hi,
Yes, I heard about this bulletin a few months ago. I went in to my dealer for an unrelated item (I think I was there for putting on the Michelin's for summer). I told my SA about a strange brake squealing sound from the Rear Brakes. But, I figured it was just the compound of the rotors/pads causing the problem.
Well, he found a bulletin from MB basically replacing the rear pads under warranty! MB stated the original compound had a tendency to be noisy so there was a "free brake pad swap" for those customers experiencing the issue. We swapped the rears out and I have not had a squeak since the swap. A very nice surprise. And, with close to 13K on the odometer, I still have plenty of material left on the fronts! Keeping the TC off or in Sport seems to have saved my brakes when "allegedly" driving in a rather spirited manner.

No problems with the OEM brakes squealing on my 507 Coupe.
I did order Carbotech 1521 pads for it though to reduce the dust, I just received them via UPS today
Will report back my impressions after install

Got the car back today, and had the new front pads installed under warranty. The new pads are a shiny black, and look like they are lacquered lol.
Anyhow, below are pics of my invoice
So far so good, no squeals...
