Your backseats may not be latched? It reminds me of childseat warnings. Haven't seen it myself but I may go screw around and see what happens.

Definitely not "backrests not latched", they are a completely different warning symbol.

Childseat warnings. ....HMMMM. Interesting. It does show two people in the warning symbol.
I dont have baby seats installed though.

i get same warning my dealer told me rear seat belts not done up i have no people in back seat . warning goes out after about 30 seconds

I don't get the warning when people are in the backseat not buckled. Mine says "Seats not latched.." when they aren't.
I can't get it to happen in mine: Sedan.
From the sounds of it I am glad it isn't happening.

Took it to the dealer. They could not fault.

I get a similar warning everytime I start up. It lets me know when someone is belted up in the rear. I just hit ok on the wheel and it gets rid of it.

I get it too ... maybe an Aussie draconian bureaucracy thing.
Possibly some pimply-arsed anti-car push-biking dolphin-kissing vegetarian hippy who decided that all AMG drivers cant tell & don't care if they have passengers. (And in my case, he may be right).

Car was Germany delivered.
Car resides in and is serviced in Gibraltar.
