Is SRT just a kiddie verson of AMG?
When you think about it, the two companies are very similar in their approach to tuning. Simply add more power, maybe tweak the suspension a bit, add an aggressive body kit, and there you go! Only difference being that AMGs are typically far more expensive than SRTs. Think about it.
Think about. The two companies actually build pretty comparable cars.
Their big, imposing coupe is the Challenger SRT8/Hellcat.
Ours is the CL63, and the dimensions of both cars are shockingly similar.
Supporting this claim, It has been rumored that the Challenger is based on the W215 Cl chassis.
Our high powered, family hauling is off roader is the ML63, ,theirs is the Grand Cherokee SRT8 (Which the Grand Cherokee is based upon)
Our sharp handling, muscular sedan is the E63, theirs is the Chrysler 300 / Charger SRT8 (Charger/300 is based upon the W211 E class)
And of course our supercar is the SLS and theirs is the Viper (the SLS was long rumored to be based upon the Viper)
So what do you think? Is SRT just a kiddie/ red neck version of AMG?

We appreciate truth, honesty, and integrity...
"Most" of the time, those with forum experience can identify those who have similar interests, or have the same taste in modding, or have the same approach when learning about our cars. You tend to be "forum friendly" with those that are in it for the same reasons as you.
No one can relate with you here. You are here for all the wrong reasons at this point, not saying you wont grow as an individual and one day bring positive feedback to the forum (I hope you do), but right now with what the community has learned of you in recent days (posts), there are no members who can take anything you say as serious.

Just to add to my previous post, you mention you have great writing skills, I don't disagree with this statement. Your grammar appears to be on point, your writing comprehension seems valid, and your vocabulary seems to be there. Having said that, the 16 y.o. mentality still reigns through in each and every one of your posts.
It makes sense that you are a young adult after learning of the truth (maybe...), embrace it. Go hang out with other 16 y.o.'s. Impress the girls, not a forum filled with a bunch of old guys / gals (I say old because we are older - I am 33).

Hey, we aren't all old! I just turned 28! But to the OP, bro, no one is going to care about what you have to say now. It's not because you don't matter or aren't good enough or something. It's simply because you lied to us...

On another note... Does the is300 have the swap, or is it stock?

Both cars are comparable but at the same time are not
I have had the pleasure of driving the viper and the SLS.
Personally the Viper was just a brute pure monster
the SLS was a beast as well but it was sophisticated vehicle
Cant wait for the hellcat thats going to be a fun car to drive

I say we give the kid a chance. He came clean and has since changed his signature as well so that it doesn't reflect the ridiculousness he was spewing earlier. The thread subject is worthy of discussion and has some debatable issues. I say we lay off him and let him be as long as he's not being a child and contributes productively.
That being said, I would like some more knowledge people to chip in on the points in the OP about the 'similarities'.

SRT isn't a "kiddie" AMG. It's just Chrysler's in-house tuning division. Virtually all companies have them. Before SRT they has the "GLH/GLHS" line. Before that the performance line was badged "R/T". Chevy has used the "SS" badge as their performance badge forever....until they threw it on so many cars it became meaningless.
Just like BMW has the M division, Toyota has TRD, Lexus has the F line, Honda has HPD, Nissan has Nismo, Ford has SVT.
There were similarities when Daimler owned Chrysler (I owned an SRT-6...so you know by "similar" I mean "identical"). But at the same time, the SLS mules were running around with Viper body panels. As I said, Chrysler has always badged their performance cars differently just like everyone else. The "SRT" is as much SVT and M inspired, as it is AMG inspired.
Juts a way to standardize it.

I'm only 22, two kids, a wife, a mortgage, four vehicles, and in the process of building a business with our ECU's... That being said, at 16 I owned a honda with a wing, 2 10's, worked at Subway, partied and chased every 14-18 year old female that qualified at a 6 or above lol.
Go be 16 man. No purpose in trying to fit in with a Merc forum when you don't even own a Merc. I could understand if you're in the market, but you're 16! Hell, I didn't even know what forum's were at 16, I was wayyyy too busy trying to get my stupid decisions out of the way. lol

When I first read the OP I was going to respond and correct some of the incorrect information there, but then I noticed the user that posted it and now I just have to ask why hasn't this guy been banned yet? He has just been trolling the forum to get a kick, he posts nothing useful and is now trying to start flame wars. Ban him!
