MBH to Akra - what a I missing

See this video. I am in the middle of installing the MBH headers which I ordered that was supposed to connect directly to my Akra exhaust. The pieces obviously aren't fitting. What am I missing? Did I order the wrong pieces?

Hmmmmm ok I see. So it uses the OEM mid pipe and can't use the Akra midpipe. That kinda bites. I guess I'll have to make a custom connecting pipe to the Akra mid.

You might want to try contacting MBH and getting their mid-pipe. I had no problem with fitment when I did mine, but mine went from MBH headers to MBH mids to MBH x-pipe. I removed all cats.

Best of luck! You're going to love it when you're done.

I see what is going on. The akrapovic exhaust comes up and deletes the resonator (adds their own) and then deletes the secondary cats. So where the mid-section needs to bolt to the system it has already been deleted, leaving no place for the mid-section to clamp to.

Without cutting into the arkapovic system, the option would be to send you some adapter pipes that bolt to the headers. These small pipes allow you to mate the headers to the factory exhaust. Then using the factory exhaust mid-section you would have to cut factory parts to length then it should bolt right up.
It looks like the way that the Arka system comes up past the secondary cats and deletes the factory clamping location just before the resonator wont allow for our mid-section to be used, unless you cut a small section of the arka system and then cut the factory mating ends off of our system and try to mate them that way.

If you decide that mid-section will not work for you, you can send the mid-section back

This looks like a really good option and worth considering. Good work ACG!

Thank you guys for the responses. I wanted to keep the Akra Evolution (not slip on) whole so I'll just make a custom small piece that connects from the header to the end of the Akra evolution.

MBH - thanks for your help and offer.

Changster, when you have managed to connect the MBH headers to the Akrapovic Evo pipes, please share with us the sound it makes! Thanks.

Hey, I have the same exact setup. One side you need to reuse the OEM pipe with a reducer and the other side you need a reducer.
