2015 M3 or C63 507 ?
Guys, I know the new TT C63 is just around the corner but I am more interested in NA cars I guess. I have the option to lease a brand new 2015 M3 or finance a new ( 688 Km ) 507. Heard the mpg on M3 is pretty bad despite the TC engine. 507 is a known gas sucker but you dont buy NA AMGs for fuel economy I suppose. M3 got a nicer interior ( quite honest nicer exterior design too ). I'm confused.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

you can have a motor that was made in a time, where perforuamce was the only goal. Or a engine where it needed to be downsized , and needed two turbos.
You pick. AMG "the best or nothing"

coz the new M3 is technologically way 'advance' than the current amg with nicer interior. I am sure 2015 c63 will ace it . the fuel economy with the I-6 TT from M3 is an added bonus I reckon. is it worth to wait a year ( order + wait time included) for the new amg ?

Whether that's true or not is completely subjective to the individual ^^^^
This thread is all about comparison of new vs old.
I'm confident that if you compare apples with apples ie. new M3/M4 to the new W/C205 AMG's the AMG will in fact be the better overall car.
I believe it's worth waiting for

IF the new coupe was being offered the same way BMW has offered in the M3/4 I would most likely pick up the c63. The fact that MB is not doing this will turn many customers to the BMW.

C63 AMG 507 Edition
The new TT 4.0 might be a better unit than the M3/4 but not everyone wants a 4 door sedan. Its a huge disappointment that MB is not releasing a coupe.

C63 Coupe 507 Ed
I had this same dilemma, M4 or 507...?
I had a M3 prior, therefore I changed over to the AMG simply due to alot of issues with BMW, SMG replacement, door and window didnt close properly and was lack of V8 power.
I have a feeling AMG is slowly ahead of the BMWs.

As above MB will be definitely releasing a C205 Coupe, so don't despair if that's what your wanting (I am too) the new C205 especially if it comes with widened wheel arches on the AMG C63 variant will be one of the sexiest looking cars ever made as well as top of its category amongst its rivals by the look of all the latest literature
The reason it's still 12 months or so away is because the C204 wasn't released or introduced until 2011, despite the W204 being released years earlier around 2007, MB will want to run a specific model for at least a certain number of years before introducing a successor

Hardly a convincing win for the new M4. Car lacks soul, doesn't stir the emotions like an AMG can. That being said, there is no loser here, just great, great cars whether from M, AMG or RS.

Yes, I know they will release the coupe but it may be 2 years or more away (really sucks). It was 5 years later after the first w204 c63 sedan was released until the Coupe came, so ,perhaps another 5 years for the Coupe? I know I will not buy the sedan, Not a chance.
IMO, its a poor decision on behalf of Mercedes-Benz not to offer a sedan and coupe right out of the gates. Give their customers the options .
I'm sure I would opt for the TT 4.0 C63 coupe over the M4.
What can you do right...

choices....
as beauty goes its a matter of choice , i got mine in red 4 doors with tinted widows and aufrecht....m...g... written on the doors , i can tell you that people come to me out of the blue to tell me my car is awsome....so . be advised that the c63 is crazy on gas....20 liter / 100 easy in town , if you drive somewhat hard and do km you can spend 50/ 70 canadian dollars per day in fuel alone . that said car has awsome steering , lousy gps , great stereo , great brakes , very stiff suspension , rear tire wear.....ahhh but that engine . you drive this car for 2/3 days in a row then get back to your grocery getter and you think its broken so big is the difference.....

steve sutcliffe thinks otherwise :

C63 is an AMAZING daily driver, but the M4 just feels way more track ready. Hard to explain...I suggest YOU drive both and decide for yourself.
That said, I am not brand loyal between the two and have no doubt AMG will turn out a great W205 and quite possibly will be back in a W205 C63 coupe in a few years.
