All the numbers prove are the cars are approximately the same speed
But the M4 has at least 10% more P and T (according to you) and weighs 10% less
But same speed
The reason? The m is lighter but has less torque so they cancel
Result? Same speed

The 150 is no different than the 1/4
Both standing start
Except one uses another gear or 2
And both teams of engineers know how to select ratios lol
Both cars run in air so both have drag losses
Traction is not a factor in the higher gears

6 year old base C63 22.8
Lighter, more powerful, LSD, wider tired, newer M4 23.3
The M's rating is accurate 425/406

The new C63 will humiliate the M4
But it will actually have close to 500/500
At least closer than 425/406

I said they've got about the same HP. Yes it has more torque. How much of that extra torque is usable? No idea. I've never driven it.

OF COURSE the new C63 will embarrass the M4 in a straight line. That's what AMG does. We all know that.

I'm going to say it for the 3rd or 4th time:

I'm not in here claiming to know what the BMW's dyno numbers are. I haven't seen enough graphs of it in the wild. The car hasn't been out long enough.

I'm just saying they're 100% not 425/406 at the crank. No way in hell. It's underrated from the factory.

I think some of you may be a bit quick on the trigger to say the c63 will embarrass or destroy the m3. It will beat it, but I don't think by much. Time will tell

As evidenced by that M4 time slip, 12.0 at 119mph is with a 2.0+ 60ft in the heat. With more people driving them, you'll start seeing 11.8-11.9's at 121-122.

Which will fall faster and hit the ground sooner from 100'

But for all intent and purpose same speed
But the m4 has more power and torque and is 10 % lighter
Vs PP
4% more power
Almost 14% more torque

His claim is patently absurd

They're the WORST sounding cars. It's BMW so they'll probably pump a C63 exhaust sound through the speakers.


And I don't care which one's faster. I'm just saying a car with 425 crank HP isn't going to trap 120+mph.

I guess. Look at the Top 100 times on the rings website.

Base C63 Coupe is on there with a time of 8:01. No base M3 present. Black Series vs GTS; BS = 7:45, GTS = 7:48.


I don't really care about the lap times or a tenth here or there on a drag strip, the low torque of the E9X turned me off, this gen it's the Briggs and Stratton under the hood. It's already been said, but I've been next to M4's as they've taken off from a light (not once in the C though). It's absurd that BMW thought that exhaust note was acceptable.

You can wedge a baseball card or soda can in the caliper so that the wheel spokes hit it. If you want to go real aggressive, you can do both. There are also software upgrades for the interior audio. Right now, the M156 and Jaguar F-Type V8S audio packs are the most popular.
