Hence the cars being similar in speed
And proves again the the M's 425/406 rating is dead on
Power is over time and pointless when discussing these things
Torque is a primary variable, a force x moment arm, it's instantaneous
Power is derived from torque, a secondary variable
A dyno measures torque and calcs power from it
F= ma or a = F/m
Torque is in the equation
Where is power?
Top speed relates to power because the car is not accelerating

Btw the e63 is faster than the m4 around VIR 3 minute lap
The e63 weighs 700 lbs more
These are street cars where torque is critical

Just badged my toro //M this morning... Neighbors are pretty jealous ... They doubted my toro was an //M until I started her up and mowed a few laps and they were like Yeahp... Sounds like the //M

They are also good at raising the bar on butt fugly clors

Why did you mention 0-150? Is that the only section the c63 wins?
25 years is a long time to wise up . Must have been some bad cars those BMW's
E65 is faster than an M4? Is that supposed to tell anyone anything?
Guess what an M5 is faster than a c63 on the ring.
Compare apples with apples.
I guess what ever you own at the moment is the best car in its class.
It's tough to admit that the M4 is the better car which it should be using newer technology.
Really not a big deal.
I do not notice it at all.
I owned my C63 coupe for 3 years and have had my M4 for 3 weeks now. No doubt the C63 has a better exhaust note, but the M4 is far from terrible (sounds nothing like the video clips). An easy disconnect of the exhaust flaps so they always stay open and charcoal filter delete has done wonders to the exhaust sound. We have been spoiled with N/A V8's for the past few years, but its a different era and both AMG's and M's are going to loose that N/A V8 sound. We saw the shift in direction first in F1. I think we are just at a leveling off point in these vehicles performance wise. The E92 M3 and W204 C63's were much bigger jumps in performance levels then their previous generations compared to what the F82 and W205's will be. the focus for this generation is weight savings, better millage and better tech as well as a modest increase in overall performance. I get almost DOUBLE the gas millage in my M4 compared to my C63 Coupe; while still enjoying slightly improved performance levels...That is an amazing feat. Both brands are producing great vehicles and i'm surprised how immature some people are on both boards bashing each other. If M didnt produce amazing vehicles over the years, the merc fans would never have the C63 they have today. Just accept that both are great vehicles and the competition between the two brands upping their game each generation is why we have the vehicles we have today.
