Help!!! Just went over a HUGE dip in the road........
So today I was on an expressway road and was going like 60-65, not too fast.. And then I wasnt aware of a huge dip in the road and wasnt able to slow down, I felt the car bounce up then down.. Will there be any serious suspension damage or any other damage or is the car fine? Have any of you guys ever gone through a dip that fast and feel the car bounced? The exclamation mark light came on for like a milisecond then went off... Im a little worried about this, any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Thats fine. I wouldnt worry at all.
The car can handle that, and believe me we put our cars through alot worse than that.
The traction light flashed obviously because you lost traction for a split second.
Nothing to worry about

I'm sure if you guys hit a sizable dip going 65, especially one that triggers a light on the dash, you'd wince a little too. Sure, these cars can take a beating but that doesn't mean each person gets in theirs destined to thrash their car...
OP - you're probably fine. I'd just check for leaks the next time you pull away from your garage.

Probably not the suspension, but when you change tire next time, it will help to check the integrity of your wheel. You need to find out if it is not bent. My wheel of the front passenger side hit some debris on highway and was bent. The bent created a vibration, which became noticeable whenever the car was over 80mph.

Chris Harris does this to the C63 so us mere mortals should be ok with what we do.
I once did something similar with my old 1994 Dodge Caravan and thought the car was ruined. I went so far as to goto a shop to have it all checked out, and there was nothing at all wrong so the C63 will certainly be OK IMO

Since that was 40 years ago I am certain the c63 has a better suspension
Computer modeling, development, geometry
The csl probably didn't even have gas shocks
The amg suspension is stronger, more durable, built for rough roads not smooth tracks
Perfectly relavent since we are talking about a car and impact to its suspension
If that car can get airborne and survive the amg can hit a dip lol
That is like saying the Wright brothers plane and a modern jet have nothing in common
They both use lift

Wheels probably lost traction when the car got light launching out of the dip lol

We need more information on the dip!!!
Length
Depth
Surface: concrete, asphalt, dirt, etc
Wheels should be fine
Hit the dip suspension falls away, car follows with lag
Hit the end of the dip suspension driven up meeting the body still coming down
Boom
Car is 'launched', gets light and 'lands'
Boom
Since most momentum was in the x axis unlike a curb or pohole the tire should have absorbed enough to protect the wheel
No damage
This assessment is predicated on assuming he did not hit the brake or gas and wheels were straight ahead hitting the brakes when landing could FUBAR some stuff
More dip data!!!!
