They have an ABS mold base, which is the same material the factory mirror housings are made from. Then the CF is overlayed on the outside. They're a very sturdy product I would be surprised if a rock was able to damage it.

Sid, it's very easy.. Just 1 or 2 bolts, the hardest part is to unglued the middle part w/o breaking ur oem mirrors. Lol

Ugh! does not sound too good! Getting the OEM cover off in the first place is not very easy either, lot of force is required.

That is correct. These covers fit 2010+
