Dear 3amotor_us,
I see your selling this extended shift paddle set for the non-amg cars, any chance you might have something to replace the short shift paddles for the C63 amg???
thanks!

If you guys got a group of people together and contacted these guys, I bet you could get them a lot cheaper.

I saw your thread, I def like the carbon paddles but they arent any longer though, and thats really what I want. Although painting my stock ones black and adding the carbon "snap on" ones is a good idea. I just dont like having a "two piece" design...
I would rather get the $70 larger ones posted up top on ebay if that's possible.
Rockin_AMG, since you're emailing them, can you ask them if them can make them in black?
Specifically, if they can make them in Black with the plus/minus sign in red? (though if that's a know, a little bit of nail polish will fill that in)

Agreed, I'm going to ask for their direct and I'll make that request. If they cant do it I'm going to design my own. I work as an engineer for a custom automation company and we have our own machine shop with a cnc. All I need is a downer stock shift paddle to start with.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Thats going to be the trick, is a good CAD file. I can do one in solidworks, but it will take some time to get it right and a good fittment. Anyone know where I can buy a oem shift paddle for cheap?
that would be sweet if you guys could fab some up, i'd be down to purchase (depending on the cost, of course).
Take an oem shift paddle to a local shop that has a 3D Scan Tool. They will make a file for you, then manipulate that file to elongate the paddles leaving the part that connects to the housing the same.
Take it to a machine shop and have them manufacture them.
Very good friend of mine has a CAD worker (engineer? designer?) on his staff for his business and he does personal things for me anytime I ask (usually for business but he doesn't mind what)
I sincerely believe if we all really put our minds and resources together we can get this done for ourselves at a very good price.
Is it part number 2 or 5? $92 bucks itsnt to bad for a new one...
Can I still drive the car if I take mine out?
You recently changed yours over to CF right? Do you still have the originals? Would you be willing to loan them to us (I will pay shipping to me) so that I could make a CAD and then I will ship it back to you?
If we can actually get this made into a CAD, and we have enough interest, I may be able to get this done in China for dirt cheap. I already work extensively for my business with a manufacture who makes hookahs for me there and we've been doing business for a long time. As long as I can provide him with a decent amount of units (at least 100 I would think) we could get this done for very cheap. I will look into that option once someone can provide a CAD.

I PMed you my address.
Rockin, what would help is if you also drew up a CAD. Honestly, the easiest thing I can do to be exact is to not only draw a CAD here but create one sample set that I can ship to my manufacturer. He's good, but does his best work if he has an actually, fully completed sample.
I am going to use Autosport's paddles to draw a CAD. Once I'm done, I will send them over to Rockin AMG to do the same. Then when you're done Rockin, please send them back to Autosport.
Deadfission, once I have a CAD I will send it to you and see if you can make a sample set for me. Also, let me know what the cost is. In the meantime I will send a CAD to my manufacturer and see if he can make it. That may take a while, but if it means we can get a killer deal on them and its worth it, we can go that route. Otherwsie let's see what costs we can get here stateside, might be easier to just do it that way.
Everyone on board?
Machining out of billet stock will be expensive and still need to be finished
Even after a scan test pieces will need made and fitted then the file adjusted
Might take a few iterations
Sounds good. I'll PM you my address.
What we can do for test fitment is have them 3D printed. Its cheap and that way we can have an actual set to test fitment and design... I have a good contact for 3D printing if needed. Probably cost $50-60 to make a set maybe $100 if we wanted a few sets... Better that way than cnc the first rev.
