Black Series brakes on C63

Update:
The front upgrade to Black Series 390x36mm is ready for order, however the rear is not possible for large rotors using the OE calipers, due to the limited curvature (for 360mm rotor) and how the caliper is mounted to the spindle (side mount, not top mount) and it requires at least 30mm to space the caliper up which amounts to 390mm (330+30x2) rotors, which is well over what the OE caliper can fit in.
So for the rear you will have the following options:

So for the rear you will have the following options:
- Keep the rear rotor size as stock (unchanged) and purchase the rotor kits with RB rear two piece rotors.
- Bump it up to 360x26 like BS, but you will need to swap your rear caliper to BS also; both calipers have the same mt spread but BS has longer leg, like the one in gold color vs. C63 (silver)
- Or you can upgrade to a complete RB rear BBK including RB 4 pot calipers with 380mm rotors.

Hmm, sorry, this post crossed with my post on the Ceramic Brake Upgrade thread. Sorry for the confusion.
Your update contradicts what we discussed earlier, i.e. you now have determined that the stock rear calipers are no viable option for significantly larger rear rotors. I checked, and the BS rear calipers (which would match in color to the red ones in front) are about 460$ a piece mailorder (A212 423 b68 98 and A212 423 69 98).
That would increase the cost of an upgrade to 390/360 (like Black Series) to what?
2 390 mm front rotors with adapters to use stock calipers
2 360 mm rear rotors with correct emergency brake drum
2 rear BS calipers (do they fit the standard C63 knuckles/spindels?)
a complete set of pads

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but as I said re-use OE caliper is always constraint to what the original caliper can accommodate and how to re-mount it back to spindle.
Your assumption is correct. We can make the rear hat with C63 drum size to fit original e-brake, assembled to the same disc (360x26) as Black Series, and the additional cost for a pair of rear BS calipers.
We can bundle with required calipers and also allow customer to source their own calipers w/deduct.
This complete kit for C63 upgrade to 100% black series brake set up (with better RB light weight two piece rotors) is estimated to cost low to mid $4K.

Anyone look into the brake bias. If you update the larger disks for the different options, will the factory bias still be optimum to gain any more braking power compared to stock?
Wont you have to have different bias than stock for a 390BS/360BS or a 390BS/380RB or a 390BS/RB rear BBK

This complete Black Series upgrade kit offered by RacingBrake costs about the same as a brake job by dealer, not mention you get famous RB light weight two piece rotors, brand new rear OE calipers and low dust RB pads...
$4100 for C63 2009 P30 brake pads + rotors - other ideas?!

Does the low to mid 4Ks include the BS rear calipers?
And: Since the rear spindles/knuckles are different between BS and normal C63, do the BS rear calipers fit correctly?
If the answer to both is yes, I am interested!

We just ordered BS rear caliper from the dealer which will be delivered on Friday.
Once the caliper is assembled to C63 rear spindle we can then finalize the rear brake kit design, confirm the fitment and estimated cost.

Excellent - please keep us in the loop on what you learn!
BS size, hard, not cross-drilled racing brakes sound like a very meaningful upgrade to have fun on the track..... :-)

What we have found out for MB rear is if the drum size is 165mm the rotor is 330mm (like for C63), if 180mm the rotor is 360mm (Black Series).
So we will design and make a rear hat with 165mm drum to fit 360mm rotor. In fact we offered the same exact retrofit for Subaru between 170 & 190mm drum.
Here some pictures of our library in spindle collection:
Original front caliper steel bracket for 360mm rotor (Wt: 1.6 lbs)
To be replaced by RB aluminum alloy light weight adaptor for 390mm rotor (Estd Wt: 1.3 lbs)

I like that - looks great! I can't wait to hear how the test on Friday with BS caliper on C63 spindle will go - and consequently learn about cost and leadtime.

Yes the caliper just came in and fitment test is successful.

Caliper comparison
Rear calipers for both standard C63 (on left in silver color) and Black Series (on right in red color)
are exactly the same in configuration & offset, use same brake pad - Except the BS caliper has longer to fit larger rotor.

That went as well as it could have and looks great! Now - what cost and lead time for the upgrade does that result in?
Can you give us both for a couple options, like with rear calipers included or not, with different pads, and with & without steel brake lines?

The rear two piece rotor design is up, even they are oversized to 390/360 from 360/330 mm rotor we still can expect a very significant weight saving over OE's one piece rotors:
12 lbs per front rotor
6 lbs per rear rotor
Total 28 lbs per 4 corners, and they will definitely perform better and last longer than original BS set up for they are RB two piece rotors6 lbs per rear rotor

This same rear two piece rotors have been shipping to Black Series and E63 owners - A very popular upgrade for weight saving and performance improvement.
However since this is a custom built to fit C63's "smaller drum" with "larger disc" (360mm), so we like to post the following illustrations to help you understand exactly what you will be getting.
In 3D
In 2D
From above illustrations you can also see RB's two piece rotors with center mount design (vs. conventional surface mount) provides wide open air ports and admits the cool air be pump through the discs and keep the braking temperature low - means cooler discs and longer brake life.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Very clear! However, to make progress, we need commercial terms - cost & leadtime.

The package link is up for ordering.

Please refer to the detail description on our website for this package.
Since this is a retrofit kit, so we need some pre-orders to mobilize this project. 10% discount plus free shipping will be offered for first three pre-orders.

Note when we build those brake kits, they are not so called "proto-type" like other aftermarket kits you used to know. They are designed and built by a professional brake company with 30 years in brake business and our rotors are casted with track proven metallurgy, and we guarantee the performance improvement with expected result.
We also offer brake pads (front* and rear) with different compounds, from street to track, to fully support C63's track or HPDE activities.
*Front pad is the same as GT-R and CTS-V - Two highly active motorsports communities RB supports.
As always - Buying brakes from RB comes with our "money back" guarantee - If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase in how they look or perform, or if you can find a better package/deal on the market.

I'm a long way from needing new brakes, but for curiosity sake, can the rear BS calipers be requested in a different color? Mine are silver, so I would hate to have red calipers in the rear only...

When is the completion date of this project I'm definitely down but not for a few months as its winter here

The 2-piece RacingBrake rotors are by far one of the best upgrades I have done to my car. The main reason to get them is not the braking (which is massively improved). Its all the other attributes. Better acceleration, more sensation of torque, much smoother ride quality, hugs the road better, improved steering response, improved fuel efficiency... The list goes on.
You will definitely not be disappointed
