Weird Paint oxidation?
So just wondering if anyone else has this on their c63.
The paint on my rear trunk seems very dull. I just tried to clay bar this and it did not have any effect. The dull part of the paint is not as smooth as the shiny part.
My car also had a entire 3m wrap except for this portion. Any thoughts on what caused this? I have a theory it is from exhaust gasses on a rich tune over time. Either that or car was re-sprayed on the rear truck for some reason.

Not sure where you live but this looks very similar to the damage caused by suncream/sun lotion. Makes a complete mess of the clear coat, however a strange place to get it, usually around door handles, top of boot lids etc. I therefore wonder whether it might be related to the glue/adhesive used to attach the spoiler, leaking down from under it??

take off the emblems, and give the trunk a polish.
if you can get a paint thickness guage, measure it and see how much clear is on it. that wil let you know if it's been repainted.

to me it seems suggestive that it's only showing up under your CF spoiler. I also wonder if the adhesive used or even the material on the spoiler itself could be contributing. shot in the dark...

That looks like the makings of a poorly maintained clear coat finish. The trunk is either re-sprayed (using cheaper clear coat) or the paint has been properly cared for. Do you take your car through the drive in car wash often?

No It was like this before I installed the spoiler.
I do not take my car through the drive through car wash very often.
Also I bought this car used about 1 year ago and I have only put about 8000kms on it it has 55,000kms.

Hmm so sounds like if I want to get this shiny best thing is to remove badges, check paint thickness, and try to do a buff on it with some compound?
Ya my car also does not have accident history.

The sources most often referred to when researching accident history are nearly worthless IMHO. Relying on them dangerous to your wallet. And them more expensive the car, the more able an owner usually is to have damage repaired without going through insurance.

This is a common occurrence for paint finishes t hat have not been treated and sealed properly. If you do not have the skills / tools necessary for a good paint correction and polish job. Look for a decent detailer in your area. You do not have to remove the badges. You simply have to use a mild abrasive and the spotting will be removed.
Your detailer will be able to take care of all of this for you. Its a few bucks, but its well worth it for your paint and the over all appearance of the vehicle.
