C63 AMG 507 Hood Installation
Hello, Im new here and I have been looking for a good recommendation on how to swap a regular Coupe hood to a 507 One.
From what I need I need to order the part and switch some pieces with the current one but I was looking for more information from someone that knows or has done it before.
My questions are:
-What parts do I need?
-Do I need anything to block water going into the engine?
-and any recommendations would be appreciated
The car is a 2015 C63 AMG Coupe (Old C Class version W204)
Thank you, Alvaro.

At the discounted price my dealer quoted me for OEM parts you are looking at a $4000 hood. Is it really worth that?

You could probably buy Mode Carbon's hood and get it painted for cheaper than buying the oem one with all the additional parts. That's what Ezec63 did, but i'm unsure on the price cost/difference. Also going the Mode Carbon route, you wouldnt have to worry about the vent inserts.

Yes Mode Carbon would be your cost effective solution. Good quality and fitment for any product they sell
Or you can try this ==> https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-507-hood.html
One advantage of MC theirs is CF.

For 2800$ a 507 Kit. Meaning that already has al necessary parts to work just has to be painted and installed. Looking at around 500$ To 600$ of installation = 3300$. Seems like a vert fair price to me.
For anyone who was thinking about the same thing.
