Need help with wheel spacer size!!
So Im about to buy new tires front and rear for my stock 18" wheels, front Im going to stay with stock sizes 235/40/18, rear Im going to bump it up one size up to 265/35/18. Im going with Hankook Ventus V2 Evo for all tires. Im also considering getting H&R wheel spacers and was thinking about doing 10mm for the rear and 12mm for the front. My question is will either rub badly especially since Im bumping up the tire size in the rear to 265? I will probably have the shop shave or roll fenders for me, would this help or would it still be rubbing? Im also lowered max on H&R coilovers but it's not as low as KW if it were slammed. Please any advice would be great, thanks.

I have.. Some say they will rub while others dont with that set-up.. Some tires are wider as well, Im going to be running new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, not sure if those are standard or wider than normal. My shop told me I'll need to have fender work done so that theres no rubbing at all but they're charging me $300 for the labor just to roll and shave fenders.. If I can save that cost I would..

Just so you know, there isn't much you can shave and roll. Don't expect a lot of clearance gained, but anything helps in our tiny rear fenders.

I forgot to mention that I also shaved my fenders and modified fender tab to run those specs without any trouble. I might get a tiny rub inside if I have passengers and hit a dip, but it's not a big deal.

Yea my shop just told me since it will be aggressive fitment, the car will need to be shaved and rolled for the fenders.... The thread you posted from the other guy, he mentioned he was running 275 tires and 10mm spacers and no rub, and hes lowered on KW V3 coilovers which can go pretty low in height... thats crazy!

I forgot what oem specs were, but I don't think you will rub. I'm running 275 Hankook evo2 19x10 48 on the rear of my coupe. I believe sedans have tiny bit more clearance too, but i'm not 100%. It's only a slight rub if anything, nothing you can't fix. Worse comes to worse you will just have to do some shaving. In addition, Hankooks don't run as fat as Michelin.

Thanks for your input Roswell I know you have much experience with spacers and tire size So you think 265 rear with 10mm wont rub or rub a little then? Also do you think I need to have the fenders shaved and rolled or not necessary??

I think it will be very close to rubbing depending on how square the Hankook are. But the 10mm will be safer than the 12mm.
I'm running 10mm with 255/35/19 Yokos AVS & it's very close to rubbing.
And I wouldn't recommend rolling as there isn't much to roll on this car.
Good luck!

when I said you should be fine I didn't pull it outa my ***. I run 12mm all around on my c63 with oem p30 suspension which is slightly lowered.
if you go with 10mm rear I truly believe you will be ok, even if it rubs on bumps it will be minimal, and if anything just raise the car a little, unless you always have people sitting in the back then go with 255.
imo do NOT roll your fenders. people ruin their cars like that and they just don't tell you about it. its not worth rolling ...its not even a REALLY aggressive set up.

I'm lowered on H&R springs with 17mm thicker pads & I don't see 265 working w/o rubbing over bumps/dips with my 10mm spacers. But again, my Yokos runs wide on my 19x9 wheels.

Just to add further confusion
Seriously just wanted to add from my recent experience, I'm running H&R springs also, but with 12mm H&R spacers front and rear, with 265/19 on the rears, no rubbing, over humps or on load, running the standard pads ..
I'm currently on Winters Vreds Wintrac 4's, the conti's going on next month I reckon as its getting a tad warmer here in the UK, the conti's are also 265 on the rears so hoping these will not rub either.

I have 275 contis, 10mm spacers and lowered on HR coilovers (not sure maybe an ~1"). Minimal rub at full compression on the sidewall, so far no issues.

Rear are 9.5 19 et 56 with ps4s 265 35's but i intend to switch to tyreTyre 255 35 19
Rears seemed to bolt on ok
I tried a 5mm spacer up front but seemed to be a bit tight against the control arm
I will fix the chips on them of course
any advice on making them fit, would be greatly appreciated
