Just got my car back Friday from the dealer for the brake squeal issue. Their solution was to add synthetic grease to all the braking components. Yeah....that lasted 2 days. Started Squealing Sunday.
I guess I will try the hard breaking trick and see how that works out.

Mine started. Had it on my 2017 C63 I bought 18 months ago. Took my car to the dealer and believe it or not, My car was under a recall for a small number of vehicles. I got three front brake pads, but not free rear brake pads.
took away squeak. That was 12 months ago. Now they’re squeaking again but only when I lightly apply the brakes.
It also just started getting colder here in Texas so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it? I concur that you feel like a complete idiot when your brakes are squeaking and everyone looks at you like who is this jack *** and then it’s me with my gray Poupon mustard

Mine squeals a bit when doing start and stop traffic and very gentle brake stops. It happens when the vehicle is practically stopped, say the last foot or so. I'm not worried and don't give a sh*t if passing pedestrians hear it. You should hear what my old Porsche 964RS would squeal loud with racing pads when cold
