Thanks! Still trying to figure out what I should do about the front fenders and bumper. I'm playing around with the idea of splitting my front fenders and widen it by an inch to get it to mate properly with the bumper.
But! While I ponder that... By way of a Canadian in Hong Kong, I got my hands on a stupid rare all black badge for my hood.

Took a little hiatus because of summer. The widebody kit still needs to be installed, then I'd need to take measurements of the wheel well to order the wheels. It would then take 12 weeks to get the wheels made. So I decided to postpone that stage of the build until fall/winter. In the meantime, I did put the car on the dyno to see what it could do. ROW boxes installed, Eurocharged tune, secondary cat and OEM resonator deleted.
I ended up taking the summer off with this car. Started working on converting a 1967 Honda CB160 into a brat style bike, which is a bad idea when you already have a car build in progress. Anyhow! With winter coming, it's time to get back to the build! Here's some photos of the air ride install. We're about 17 hours in and I still have to install the ride height sensors. The lines have been routed, compressors/tank are mounted and shocks/struts/bags installed.
I have access to a shop. It’s my buddy’s place in West Allis. I go there after hours and try to get what I need to do done before they open up again. You live in the area?
Long build in progress you must be anxious for the wide body to be done.
Yes! Mainly because I have this build and then picked up a motorcycle build that I started on working on as well. I'll be moving sometime next year and I'd like to get at least one of the two builds done before the move.
Sorry MTV! I'll have more updates over winter. I tend to drive the car around when the weather is nice/warm. I store the car in winter, so it's usually the best time for me to tinker with it.

Yes, south of Milwaukee. For me, winter means the mods stop lol.
Here's an update! All the metal work is done and now it's off to paint. Can't believe I started this journey three years ago with breaks in between and it's finally getting done this year.
Looking great and drooling to see the finish product. Please let us know where you bought your kit and cost. Thinking about doing my coupe. Have to decide to either leave stock or once I start modding, I'll be the person that will go all the way.
I'm lucky enough to have Bob Merkt in my backyard. He was partner/shop manager for Jesse James' Austin Speedshop. He pretty much only works on hot rods, but I caught him at a good time and he accepted to split and widen these OEM fenders. Trying to go for that non-black series wide body look.

It's a mash up of parts. The bumper and side skirts are from Prior Design. The front fenders are widened from the OEM set. The rear will be the HMS rear flares I got three years ago and finally putting them on.
Awesome build man. I don't know how people can wait years for build though... Have you just not driven the car for 3 years then?
Nah, I've been driving it. I ended up buying a newer daily, getting engaged, long hospital stay (bills), picking up a '67 Honda motorcycle build, etc. So this project took a back seat to all of that until my fiancee got frustrated with all the car parts sitting in our place. So she's pushing me along to finish it now so she can get more room. HA!
