Delivery day - finally - 2014 507 Edition with pics
I finally took deliver today on a car I bought sight unseen from Scottsdale AZ. This thing is a beast in person. 2014 507 Edition White over black interior, full leather, LSD, MB CPO'd with 14,000 miles on it. It did not have illuminated sills or the lighting upgrade. The HID lighting is the only thing I really might miss.
I'm coming out of an RS5 and this is a totally different, snarling animal by comparison. I think it will take a minute (and a good deal of open space) to get comfortable with pushing this car.
I had alread bought and today installed Forgestar F5V's in gloss gunmetal with PSS in 235 front and 265 rear. I know some people think this is a downgrade from the 507 wheels but I have never liked black wheels and I really like the concave look and the extra tire width. I have also vowed never again to spend $6000++ on a set of aftermarket wheels. I am quite happy with the outcome and look. I may be offering the 507 wheels for sale with some pretty new looking PSS rubber on them.
Plans are to install carbon spoiler, deck spoiler and splitter which are (already on order), remove the acceleration stickers, Eurocharged V5 tune (already acquired), front Expel wrap, and a full hardwired rader detector and laser jammer system. That will be it.
Now that the new wheels are on I dont even think I am going to deal with a drop. I like the look and ride quality just fine as is, which certainly makes life easier.
Here she is folks:

Awesome car, but I don't understand why a car like this comes with halogens... It's a safety feature at a minimum. No modern luxury vehicle should be equipped without HIDs/LEDs.
Congrats on the purchase, OP.

^I noticed that too. I don't understand why a 507 comes without headlight package but oh well

I'm going to try to find some aftermarket HID's. Like I said, its the one feature i really hate not having. But, man, I was looking for months and this was the only 507 that I came across with full leather and LSD, and, as you say, I got a VERY. GOOD. DEAL. Especially for a CPO car. Lighting package had to give when an opportunity like this one arose.

you can get depo headlights as xenon. you will not however have adaptive function, or so i understand.
still boggles my mind how mb can put non-xenons on a 70k car. drives me insane.

I never understood that either.....they come standard on most entry level luxury cars.

I do think its absurd that MB even offers anything but bi-xenons on this nice a car. I loved the adaptive xenons on my RS5, but I can live with a straight ahead version. I know I will be upgrading pronto and the DEPOs look like the right play.

Looks great. Congrats and CF5Vs look great (and yes and I'm bias). I think you would love a drop and will have no rubbing issues with 265s.

The beast looks great! planning to switchout the amber sidemarkers for clear ones? even better if you get them painted. $40 and will look much better. Atleast they dont cost as much as the E codes for the S5/RS5

Magno 507 Have a look at the U.S. website and see all the packages you can choose as options. In Australia they really limit our choices. They bundle everything into one big package with a price tag to match.

Congratulations !
I do like the wheel choice and have thought about swapping mine for a dark gray wheel of some type.
Also, I would be interested in your comparing your 507 to your RS5 as I was really on the fence over the two when looking at new cars. I did end up with a MB but the RS5 also seems like a capable car.

that should be a sin upon all sins to have a car of that quality and price with no HID's..... (madness) anyways congrads on the purchase bro... but I've learned that most likely that car was custom made that way from an older guy that probally has vision issues with headlights of that sort... I've known many of cases were elderly get there BMW/ Audi/ Benz without HID's it bothers there eyesight... but o well... for me Navi/ HID's/ BBK/ Black interior is a must from now on....
