Best way to launch with v5 Eurocharged tune
Hey guys i have a 2011 C63 amg with the Eurocharged v5 tune and it is notoriously hard for me to get a clean launch since i don't have launch control. Can anyone please help me or give tips on how to get the best launch? Thanks !

I'm interested to hear what others say as well. I took mine to the local 1/8 mile track on Friday and in S+ with Sport Traction on and launching at about 1800 RPM the car would just spin to 7k and then bog like crazy.

My only advice is stickier compound tires like Toyo R888's or Michelin PSS. If you plan on doing lots of 1/8 - 1/4 runs invest in drag slicks.
Launching with street tires you want to moderately warm them up (depending on the compound you have). Dont do big smokey burn outs on street tires it doesnt help.
Get into 'S' and shift down into 1 before launch. Turn off traction control and roll into the throttle.
Once you get comfortable with launching like that then you can try using 'M' mode to get the best out of your shift points.
When learning your launch its best to let the tune do your shift points for you.

Depends on road, road temp, tires, ect. I don't think its a simple answer. In addition rear tire pressure makes a big difference. Spec tire pressure is for the handling aspect not for getting a good launch.
Spend some time at the track or a good remote road and find what works for you and your setup.

While I have launch control / Race Start in my 2012, my best results at the track came from starting in first gear with a 1100rpm brake stand and then SLOWLY rolling into the throttle even into second gear. I could finally get into full throttle at about 40mph while in second gear. Really it is all about minimizing the tire slip by modulating the throttle.
Since it was the first time running my car on the track, I felt like the car had more speed in it, I just wasn't comfortable enough in the seat yet. I think I could shave at least a tenth of a second off my 1/4 mile time, maybe even a bit more. Fresh tires would have helped as I was on the Stock Conti's at the time.

Asking me? If so, my best was a 12.2. On some runs I would apply throttle too quick and it would roast the tires at 35ish mph and some nasty wheel hop would cut in. If that happened the times ranged from 12.6 to 13 seconds. Like I said.. Its all about managing the wheelspin.
