Another happy EC customer

First of all, Jerry is the man. Got my handheld at 2pm ish today. Sent the OEM files off, went to school, and he sent back my requested files at 8pm. I was getting an error (which was my fault) and he cleared things up for me. Damn key in position 2.

Anyways, as for the tune... I am VERY happy that my monitors have already set. (See my other thread about monitor issues). Previous owner had an EC tune already but I was unaware. It was an earlier version and something about it made it so the monitors wouldn't set. So, I am good to go.

As for performance, definitely have a difference. Almost got in serious trouble because I was hooning around a bit tonight. The downshifts are so fun, need to take out the resonator and they'll be epic I'm sure. However, the thing I'm most impressed with is just how great the car drives now. So much smoother.

Anyway, I've had 2 c63s and figured it was about time to jump on one of these EC handheld/tune deals they have and did it. Very very very happy.

PS --- This thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...rged-tune.html

Very very useful.

Couldn't agree with you more! The EC tune really transforms the car, and those downshifts! My goodness!

yup, really happy with my tune and jerry is always helpful. i had to drive my car a week or so without a tune after i got it out of the shop because my handheld was locked up and we had to wait for the vendor to investigate.....it is a world of difference between tune and no tune mainly from acceleration and downshifts.

The customer service Jerry and EC provide is above and beyond. I am really surprised PurpleHeartAMG that you havn't tried the EC tunes sooner O_O.

That's what I said to myself. I've been around these cars long enough... However, I kept changing cars all the time so modding was really just throwing money away. Now that I pace myself with mods I find I hang onto the car longer and I fall in love over and over.

Careful on the resonator... from my understanding it gets a bit raspy. I did the second cat delete and it keeps the bark, but takes it up quite a few notches in decibels. I know I posted a few videos on here, but unfortunately I don't have any drive by vids yet.

My last c63 had secondary cat / res delete. I don't mind the little bit of rasp the car picked up. I just want it louder and I have a feeling these downshifts are about to get crazy.

I'd like to lower it and get some wheels next. But those are about the same cost as headers so it'll be a tough choice.

Speaking of EC, any word on updates to the current V5 tune?
