This sound can't be normal.

it's embarrassing, i started it up the other day and my buddy was like wtf.
and my dads car does not make this sound. i just want to hear from other members if they have heard something like this before.
Does have the sound of a pulley or belt, but could be anything . I'd certainly get another opinion if they didn't find anything
this is very interesting, the ps pump was replaced at a dealer in cali before i got the car. wonder if something is wrong there... i had a member pull a carfax for me, so hopefully he comes thru, will check it again.
didn't even think of this til you mentioned it, thanks man

not sure why the video blows on flickr. but i hope someone can at least attest to their car NOT making this noise.
My fathers 14' does NOT make this noise. SA told me that it is normal, and is the fan clutch. i will be trying another dealer tomorrow. car does not do this on cold start, but after it is fully warmed up, and sits for 3-5 hours it does it.
thanks for any input guys.
My car has been doing the same buzzing sound too when cold for as long as I have it. It's more easy to hear inside a garage I noticed.
I thought it was normal after I heard a very similar sound in this guy review...
(from 4:15 to 4:55, very noticable when he zooms on the wheel at 4.35)
If it never goes away when warm i'd be concerned, but either way it doesnt hurt to get it checked out esp. if under warranty

How long does it make this noise after start up?
If it goes away 20 to 30 seconds after a cold start, then it may be the secondary air pump.
After you start it, rev the engine a bit and move the steering wheel to see if the pitch of the sound or the sound level changes.
I will start mine later and check for a similar sound for you.
Good luck in finding a fix
