C63 Crank pulley
Does anyone know of a light weight crank pulley for the c63 amg? I have been searching and can't find a company that is still producing them.

There were some around, but i cant remember the brand. But i remember members having them.
I am dubious about these things doing anything to increase power.
How does it work?

A pulley will not increase power, it will allow the engine to rev a little bit faster because it is lighter which will free up some power the engine is already making, It will also allow of better throttle response, because it will rev faster.
It's just a simple mod to free up some power lost by the engine, the benefits on the v8 engine should definitely be noticeable compared to much smaller engine. I've driven a e92 m3 with crank pulley and you do notice a difference.

Any actual power gains are from the pulley being smaller in diameter...which moves the belt less and thus turns all the accessories less per rpm of engine speed, which actually frees up hp...
If the pulley is the same diameter but weighs less it will simply be easier to speed up or slow down...

Evosport was having them made and went out of business. I don't think anyone else took them on from there.
Maybe Eurocharged has a pulley. Here is a thread from last year.

I saw they went out of business and Eurocharged says they don't sell them I asked. I don't think they were breaking cars, but then again I don't know that for sure.
It doesn't seem like much R&D for NA M156 engines had been done, I'm shocked that aftermarket cams are not available for either NA or even supercharged setups.

Are you interested in selling the crank pulley? I called Eurocharged after ordering my tune and was told they do not have any crank pulleys.

most of these pulleys are lighter in weight by removing the dampening portion of them. They would also under drive slightly. You're actuall backwards with feeling it more with a bigger engine. You feel it less because a it is parasitic drag that robs torque. small engines dont make torque so it's more noticeable on them. go drive a civic and turn the a/c on and off you can feel the power loss. Go drive your car and tell me it's not all in your head.
Either way these pulleys stopped getting made because they arent up to par on quality and alot came apart. Not to mention the unknown consequences of running a high reving v8 without proper harmonic balancing long term. It's just a bad idea and isnt worth it.
A few companies actually make cams they just dont advertise because it's not worth the headaches of running on an n/a setup. Going more aggressive ruins the easy daily use/drivability of the car and would require a high stall converter and for what 20-40hp and a big toque loss? This is just one of these cases where the factory did one hell of a job.
