The kit is smog legal as I was told and making 560whp on stock exhaust... Not sure why people on mbworld won't give it a chance. Magnuson is amazing company. Just cause Weistec brought this option first, doesn't mean they have the best product. I'm all for healthy competition.

Absolutely.
Magnuson seems to work well from what i've witnessed in person... Packaging is also very nice.
And if the kit is anywhere close to the 7995 price the c7 kit is, i'd be happy.

560whp is a great figure and Magnuson is a reputable company but I would love to see 1/4 mile and 60-130 times.

Dyno numbers are great but don't really mean anything.

I am pretty sure the figures stated are for a car with headers, and improved air boxes.

So funny to see all the **** talk from benz owners and here I thought bmw forums were bad. A buddy of mine has a new SS with a Mag kit on the car and after adjusting tune the car made 590 with matching torque on not 1 run but 4 runs back to back with out heat soaking which is flat out insane. The issue with over heating on the c7 are a design flaw for the car it self not the mag, same issue the ctsv had nothing new there but after watching the kit put down those number on pump gas if the money is right I will as well be buying it.

I can't wait to see what it does, but you are crazy if you think it looks better then the Weistec. So I could have swore the Weistec kit is built around 2.3 liter Whipple. Can anyone confirm this?

If the price is right I may actually do a crazy modding run on this car. It was not my plan....

Looks pretty, where's the numbers? Who's gonna build the tranny when it blows?

I'm having flash backs from when Kleeman tried to introduce a blower, anyone running one?

Ya, Weistec uses whipple blowers.

Lol. From what I know Ben (Maverick) has 4 x 63s (C63BS, C63, SL63, ML63), 3 run Kleenman (Xtra Power) blowers and 1 runs a Weistec.

Asked and answered. Google it and you will find more.

I dont think Magnussen and Kleeman are a very good comparison in any case. Magnussen have a strong brand and a big foot print. As stated earlier, if the price and performance numbers are right I think these will sell like hotcakes.

The trans blowing has nothing to do with the super charger company, why do you keep bringing that up? when you super charge a m3 you get higher clamping clutches separate. just because you bought a wiestec stage 2 super chager doesn't mean the company builds the trans for free that is addiional cost. Any race trans shop can rebuild the mb trans.

here is better link. kenne bell is bias toward twins screw because they sell twin screw, roots blowers make more power in the lower rpm then twin screw blowers, which is why the ctsv's make so much torque the only down side is heat. but a proper heat exchanger counter acts this.

Because people think you can bolt on a blower and your trans is going to be fine. Stage 3 needs it and stage 2 guys are slipping too. Any race shop can rebuild a mb trans sure. Why the hell would you want to just rebuild a tranny that can't handle the power. You want it built and tuned for the power and there is only two places that can do that to my knowledge.

I have never heard of anyone rebuilding a trans on a High performance car with out upgrading clutches which in most cases are cheaper than the oem parts. I didn't think I had to be so literal to say race can up grade clutches.
It doensn't matter what anyone thinks about bolting it, you kept bringing it up like is was a fault on the company and it is not. Even weistic does not just do it, it is a recommended purchase base on facts that slipping occurs when pushing the car in straight line pulls through all gears with out lifting.

Bud can you read, I just said, because people think your going to run the blower without a new tranny, you're dreaming. They are rating it 50-60hp less than stage 3. My tranny lasted a week. If you have a newer MCT car you are probably alright, but any TC cars, good luck.

Me personally, I like to support the guys who are making the transmissions, head studs, water tanks, oil air separators, etc etc. Instead of the new guy on the block that's going to toss a blower into the market with nothing else. Their product looks good and so does the price but that's not all there is to the story.

And if you think slipping occurs when "going in a straight line through all the gears" that's funny. Since when are we supposed to let off the gas to make a shift lol.
