More parts needed with lowering springs?

Hey guys, buying a 2014 C63 soon and planning on lowering as soon as I get it. I'll use H&R springs (unless there are better springs to use) and wanted to know if more suspension parts are needed to get a good alignment?

do I need to purchase aftermarket control arms or anything else? Or am I good to go, just installing the springs and getting alignment?

I'll be rolling on the stock wheels and tires for a while

Thank you for any input

I purchased 17mm spring pad in the rear from Mercedes to raise the back up a little. The pad makes the rear sit right above the tire.

spring pads part number A 210 325 04 84

This combined with H&R springs? Does it rub or something w/out the pads?

I don't think they will rub, I personally just like the way it looks and the pads are not expensive

As long as you're running an OEM wheel/tire setup, you'll be fine.

If you have aftermarket wheels or tires that are wider than 265 then you'll have a chance to rub. But we'd need to know more about your setup in order to tell.

The pads in the rear are a nice touch because it gives the car a more aggressive nose down look rather than risking the nose up look that makes it look like you've got bodies in the trunk.

Only thing I have heard about H&R springs only setup is the fact that it can cause the car to pull right all the time. Its the one thing that has stopped me from purchasing them. I had H&R on my S4 and never had issues.

It's not the H&R springs but the alignment. Most techs follow the alignment specs blindly and get it within OEM spec only. Alignments can be a dark art and a knowledgeable specialist will be able to get it right.

Just planning on lowering on stock rims and tires. May do rims and tires much later. Sounds like springs and pads are what I need!

Thank you!

Lowerig a car you might have to start dealing with purchasing tires more often, specially rear tires.

I keep my C63 with stock springs , I love the hight , and I love not to deal with aligment or worn-out issues.

Lowering a C63 it is more aggressive look, is my personal opinion, the stock suspension is just great. if I were you, I will put spacers to fill the gap a little bit.

Like I said, to me the suspension is awesome. BTW my car is my dayli driven, I don't track my car much often.
