HELP! C63 COUPE SEAT WONT ADJUST!

Hello everyone, sorry if this is a stupid question but today my seat and steering wheel adjustment stopped working and it says easy entry/exit inoperative. I have already booked a service for it but its not for two weeks and my seat is stuck pretty close to the steering wheel.

Is there any way theres an easy fix for it to hold me over until my service?

I searched the forums and I cant find anything specific to the 2012 c63 coupe.

Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance.

The only thing I could think of is disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. Figure it might reset any electrical issues that may be going on with your seat. Unfortunately, there aren't any manual overrides (I don't believe) to get your seat to move.

Are your rear seats down? If so, the front seats stop themselves from moving very far back.

No, they're all the way back and secured, the passenger seats works perfectly, its just the drivers seat, just my luck

This happened to me about a month after I got my car. Seat stuck all the way forward and steering wheel all the way up. I took it to a MB dealer in Denver, and they told me that the module had some sort of intermittent fault. The module is under the drivers seat, and they showed me where to unplug it, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in to reset it. I forget exactly which plug it is, and I'm not near my car at the moment to check. I'm sure if you unplug whatever is under your drivers seat, and leave them unplugged for awhile, and then plug them back in. Try with the key in the "ON" position.

Thank you BLKROKT, I disconnected the wide black connector and re connected a few minutes later and it worked! Steering and seat functions are back, even the memory.

Thank you again!

Just curious if you did the whole unplug replug with the key in the "on" position, or if blkrokt was referring to turning the key on to test the seat functions after reset.

I did the whole unplug replug with the key in the on position, when I plugged it back in a heard an unlocking noise, then i tried the seat and it worked just fine.

Thanks for the info. My car is at the dealer as we speak for this same issue, they are replacing a part (they didn't tell me which part yet). This is a good diy fix to remember.
