In 2008 I heard about the C63 and the moment I laid eyes on it I was in love. The mean gurgling sound coming from the exhaust from the moment when you start it. The aggressive stance when viewing it from any angle too. Also not to include the C63 dressed in white with a Ducati 848 also in white zipping down the road in the Canary Islands racing each other to get home first, for those who remember the commercial. Besides the elegance and the craftsmanship of Mercedes Benz AMG I decided to wait on my purchase partly because of my superstitious of buying a first generation anything lol. However I starved to obtain one in the meantime.

I just recently purchased a 2012 C63 in Sapphire with two tone interior (black and porcelain) on Ashwood trim that also has the P31 Performance Development Package (two weeks ago) and when I first seen it on the Internet about 400 miles away I knew this was the one. I quickly called the MB dealership and I told him I was coming today to pickup the car. The dealership remained open one hour after closing awaiting for my arrival and two to three hours after to complete the sale. No test drives needed for this is my dream car. The salesman stated I just needed to get a Ferrari next and I replied back that this is my Ferrari.

On the Sunday night at 11:30pm I took possessions from my beloved truck and placed them in the car. While driving out of the dealership headed back home 400 miles that night, I just wore a cheesy smile that stretch ear to ear and knew this was going to be one amazing drive home.

It's really hard to say what one reason why I bought this vehicle because I love everything about it. Nothing beats a Mercedes Benz and nothing more beats owning an AMG especially a C63. God I love this car.

Because the car looks, feels, and acts like a savage. First time I saw one I loved it. They were way out of my price range but I had a bank account named "C63" for years. As soon as I found one in my price range I grabbed it within a week.

All of the above, but especially the exhaust note. Came from a Bimmer, first test drove a 2012 c63 against a '14 M3, and was wowed by the c63. Then built my 507 as the last of the naturally aspirated beast engines, never looked back.

Hadn't had a car for decades (always needed a truck to haul the snowmobiles etc). Dad passed in Nov of 2012, by March '13 I figured I would do something purely selfish with some inheritance, so after cruising the inter webs/car sites/top gear episodes etc, I went shopping.

Incredibly, my local Benz dealer (live in a smaller town) had my car sitting on the lot. All it took was one cold start to seal the deal
Still, had to play it cool, waited a few days for the salesman to call me back, gave me some extra bucks off, did the deal!

So every time I fire that sum***** up and hear the (recently installed) headers crackle to life, I give Dad a small salute and say thanks!

I was in the market for a car, my choice M3, ISF, C63. So I went to the Lexus dealer in Oakland across the coliseum, and look around for the ISF, they have nothing in the lot and offering me a used one. So I went at a BMW dealer car lot in Fremont CA, I was there for about a good 10 minutes, I have some questions but no one seems to be interested with my business. Right beside the BMW is the Mercedes dealer there I saw the C63 and some good deal that was given to me. There that is the reason why I have this Beautiful and Beasty car in my garage.

Wow, I'm in love!

Car was a black on black p31 with pretty much all options I'd want - Keyless Go, Multimedia, LSD, lighting etc. Started the car on a coldish day, low 40s, and the sound got me instantly. I smiled at my wife as we both got in.

Also immediately, I fell in love with the tightness of the seating and how it hugged around the body and felt tight. I'm not that big of a guy, 5'8, so this was perfect for me. A few revs, S+ mode, and we went off.

The steering was so much more crisp than my E55 - which felt like a boat in comparison - granted, different cars for different strokes, but the C63 was awesome in this department. I enjoyed the downshifts thoroughly for a complete stock car. I can't even begin to imagine with a tune.

Stock for stock, this car actually felt faster than my E55 when it was stock. It pulled just as hard, and definitely harder from a 60 goose.

So after I drove her, my wife wanted to test it out. She too loved how the seating. I think that is what sold us both on the car mostly....the seating and how it hugged around you. She drove it like a granny but I could tell she loved it as much as I did.
The car was severely overpriced($55k) in my opinion given the mileage(46K) considering some 14s with same options and 25K less miles are going to less.

I'm sold on the C63, however, and I will be in the market now for one in a more serious mindset than before. I can't wait to add one to my stable!

I was with my son, we took it for a test drive and I loved it. On another topic I test drove a hellcat today and walked away with more appreciation for the C63 than ever; its hands down a better car.

The hellcat is incredible when driven fast, but around town as a daily driver it just feels big, heavy, and ungainly compared to the nimble C63 AMG!

2013 C63 AMG Sedan
in 2013, I didn't even know a C63 existed. I was in the market for a 4 door M3, but every time I googled it, I kept coming to a page for a silver AMG C63 and links to mbworld. Did a bit of research, read some post here and ordered the car sight unseen no test drive, and of course in silver. 1st Benz and one of the best decisions I ever made. Love the car, love the community

amg c63
4 months ago i didn't know what a AMG c63 was, i was having issues with a 2009 bmw 328i e93 i had just bought, the dealer did something unheard of and took the bmw back and let me choose a different car.

I had my mind set on BMW and Over a 2 week span i drove 6 different one's and was given the opportunity to take each car for as long as i needed ( a day or two at a time ) .....my budget was 20-25k.

It got to the point where i needed to make a decision, but none of the bmw's i drove excited me much so i started looking at other cars they had.

SO.... they had about 20 different benz at the time... i just picked the one i thought was the coolest looking since i knew nothing about them.
The moment i fired it up i started laughing and thought to myself YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!... i popped the hood and saw what was going on! I was not expecting a 6.2 v8 in a 4 door sedan. I honestly could not wipe the stupid smile off my face the entire test drive and took it home that day i was sold.
Mind you...this is not my first v8 or fast car rodeo, i also currently own a high 10 sec car.

I spent more than my budget but i don't regret it one bit.Its a thrill to drive every time,These are special cars!
Cheers!

ALSO thanks to this forum... what a great source of info for new owners like myself.Ill try not to ask stupid questions and use the SEARCH function as much as possible.

i bought the c63 estate as i needed a more practical car. i have always owned smaller cars, hatches. but with my business growing, i needed an estate to carry stock, etc.
i initially looked at the audi sq5 (diesel in australia) and was very close to getting one. but im not an suv person. never have been. i looked at the audi s3 sportback, but it was actually smaller than my golf gti (i always had the rear seats down since i bought it, never used the rears). and then i had the cla45 shooting brake on the list.
my brother has the b8 rs4, and i liked the practicality of an estate. as well as the luxury and power.
the logical choice was of course the c63 estate.
i searched for about a year, until i bought mine. i never even test drove one. jsut charted the online car sites.
in hindsight, i guess i should have testdrove it.
some things in my almost year of ownership and 15k km of driving is that ive noticed how cramped the driving position is. im not a big guy, 84kg and 180cm tall. also the harsh ride. it is noticeably more raw than the rs4. which in comparison is like a 7 series, wafting along while the c63 chatters out your teeth.
overall, its a great car, ticks all the boxes, but in all honesty, its not my favourite car. that goes to the honda s2000, which i owned for almost 8 years. that was the "best" car i ever owned. its a shame that its no longer a practical option for me

2011 E550 4Matic & 2010 Audi Q5 & 2015 C63 507
When it first came out, I loved how it looks vs BMW M3. I was a BMW driver prior to the Bangle years. As soon as Chris Bangle took over, I was no longer a fan. At the time around 2011 that I was in the market of a new car, AMGs didn't have 4Matics. I wanted a C63 but I needed something that would perform well in the snow. So for the Great White North, I gotten myself an E-Class sedan for my daily commute.

Few years gone by, I had lusted after a 507 sedan, I found one earlier this year in January that someone were leaving the country that needed a lease takeover. White 2014 507 with polish silver rims with 7,000km. My wife had originally gave me the go ahead but she preferred that I waited until her car is paid off in April. Didn't listen to her and went ahead with the paper work and obtained MB finance approval. On the date of the pickup, I asked her again to see if she would be in favor of getting a C63 in mid-January, she said no as we needed to close a property later in the year. In fear of no place to sleep, I lost money on the deposit and said sorry to the seller.

Advance the date to summer my family were overseas for vacation, I test driven a C63S sedan and I realized the new W205 weren't made in Germany. Although the new engines have great mod potentials, I still love the 6.2 liter NA engine. While they were out of town, I found a dealer that had the last of the 2015 507s - white exterior and white-black interior with black rims. Debated with myself whether I would like a coupe or wait to find an used sedan in the future. I bite the bullet and put down a deposit for the car and never looked back since. On the day of the pickup, I still remembered how I enjoyed the drive home and the sound of the roaring engine with a huge smile on my face. I now have an axe murdered with highlights of my own.

The car is in storage now. Waiting for winter to be over so I can awaken her from her slumber to install KW V3. :-)

I've always loved the looks of the C63, way more than the E9x's. I pretty much love everything about the car. The sound is amazing, the smaller turn radius of the steering wheel is great, the seats are phenomenal and comfortable, those bolsters really lock you in. I also wanted a 4 door car for some practicality.

I also like how it's sort of a two headed beast....the looks are a good blend of aggressive and discreet. You can comfortably get around town quietly in C mode, yet you're always a downshift away from absolute mayhem.

Though it took a while to get used to, I actually enjoy the weight of the car as well. Hard to describe, but I guess I feel more "planted" when driving it. I haven't owned mine for very long, but I've already racked up a good amount of miles, because I literally will go take her for a ride despite having nowhere to go.

I try to avoid putting miles on mine the best I can but I do this as well (as do many others). Thank god I live where it snows and I have an excuse to put it away for a few months. I've owned this one for 19 months, stored it for about 8 of those, and still somehow managed to put on about 15k miles with a 15 mile round trip commute.

Trying to sell it, but if I don't get the price I want and warmer weather rolls around I'll probably keep it another year.

Good stuff gents, keep the stories coming!

First off, I LOVE the concept of a "mundane" car with big but subtle performance upgrades. (My all time favorite along these lines is the guy who bought a bunch of salvage STi's and put the drivetrain into Subie Forresters. Lowered them, beefed up the suspension and the perfec sleeper was born.)

This car, to most of the cattle on the road looks like a C class--until it moves.

A guy who lived down the street was a big 911 fan but couldn't swing one at the time. He ended up with a couple S4's and then, a couple years ago, he got a C63. I started paying attention and the C63 was firmly on my radar.

My 996 had cost me a bit of money and was hitting 90k miles. I said enough and let her go, intending to drive my airport car for a few years until I could swing a Cayman S. Then, another guy I know moved, lost his pole barn/garage and is selling off his collection. 'Notes were passed under the desk at school' and the deal was made.

I intend to keep this vehicle until my kids hold my estate auction. (Hopefully, in the distant future!)

Did your friend complain about the lousy Indiana roads? Like the speedbumps at either end of bridges on the local interstate?

They desroyed the rims on my 911.

I bought a 507 since I kept running over and crushing other cars in the Tumbler, it has really bad blindspots...

Hi guys. I currently drive a gla 45 and would like to purchase a 507 sedan I just came across. 2015 model. Is there any negatives about this car I should be concerned about.?
service history is in order
Car is in immaculate condition.
Mechanically should I be worried about anything?

There are many threads on what to look out for mechanically.
I also owned a Cla45 with the same m133 motor, and it was a wayyyyyy better daily than my c63.
The biggest negatives would be your going to have to fill up 2x more often (4cyl-8cyl), the gearbox is a full second slower at shifting, the interior is dated, and traction (awd-rwd).
