Winter Sottozero Serie II Winter tires nosiy and howling?
Hey guys, Im trying to figure out if I have a set of bad tires. I just recently got my ride and purchased a 1 winter season used set of OEM 18" with Winter Sottozero 240 Serie II tires. Lots of tread, no abnormal wear and look great.
Now when I looked up the specs and reviews of these tires all is great. Yet these suckers are loud all the time and howl at about 60km/hr. Not sure why. I have been driving on them for about 800km now even got an alignment still no change. I've had performace winter tires for all my rides before, never had any of them been this loud or ever howl. Do I go out and get a new set of tires or is this normal for these tires on our cars?

I've had performace winter tires for all my rides before, never had any of them been this loud or ever howl, it hard for me to think this is normal. Especially when looking at the reviews on noise level for these tires is low (scale of 1-10 showing 8-8.5 excellent) Am I missing something?

I ran the Pirellis as a winter set on my wife's Audi S5 for a few years before trading in the car last year and don't recall them being noisy at all and was quite happy with their performance.

I looked at my tires all 4 look great no "cupping" or any toher unever or irregular wear at all. Car drvies perfectly straight, but maybe alignment is incorrect somewhere even thou I just got it done a week or so ago?
